Hello everybody, it’s Sanna here today and I’d like to share a tropical flower card idea with you.
It has been an amazingly warm summer here in Austria this year and even today, while I am writing this post, we have +20°C. So now you understand why I am still in a summer mood. Thus, my guest design team post today will be a summer card.
Let’s start with the steps:
Step 1: Cut a strip of blue toned patterned paper from the Fly & Scrap paper collection that is a bit smaller than the front of the card base.
Step 2: Using the Tropical Florals die set, cut leaves from Celadon Green Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step 3: Ink the edges of the leaves with Green Distress Ink using an ink blending tool. Arrange and adhere the leaves and cut away excess.
Step 4: Die cut the pieces for a large flower and a smaller one from Rosebud Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the next layer for each flower from Pale Peach Soft Finish Cardstock and finally, the stamens from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color the stamen pieces with Pink Distress Ink.
Step 5: Mat the blue rectangle with strips of Dark Fuschia SFC. Layer and adhere the flowers as shown.
Step 6: Adhere all paper strips onto the white card base. Add faux stitching along the edges with a white gel pen.
Step 7: Stamp the word ‘Relax’ onto a piece of White SFC with black ink. Cut a banner shape around the word, ink along the edges with Pink Distress Ink and an ink blending tool. Adhere as shown.
Step 8: Decorate with glitter glue and crystal dots.
I have also prepared a short start-to-finish video for you to watch to give you a better idea of each and every step. I hope you enjoy it!!
Here, once more, the finished card:
This is all from me for now. See you again next month with yet another tutorial. Happy crafting!
