Cardmaking Krista Schneider Silk Microfine Glitter

‘Tis The Season

December 17, 2019

Hello! Samantha here, welcome! When December 1st rolled by, I was already in Christmas mode! In fact, I’ve been looking forward to Christmas for awhile and couldn’t wait to put up our Christmas tree… Here is my Christmas card inspiration for today.

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Cut pink card stock to fit an A6 card base. (Measurements: 114mm x 162mm)

Step 2: Die cut the Adventures Edges wave die using pattern paper and cardstock to create a fun colourful snowy background. Adhere to pink card base – trim.

Optional: Add machine stitched details.

Step 3: Stamp and die cut the stars.

Step 4: Stamp the image, colour with your preferred medium. Die-cut the image out.

Step 5: Adhere Clear Double Sided adhesive to pink cardstock. Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Silver). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 6: Die cut the stars.

Step 7: Assemble card. Adhere the images and a stamped out sentiment to card front. Embellish with sequins and a twine bow. Adhere card front to an A6 card base.

As I had stamped the other images from Christmas Kid’s stamp set I created a second card. This time I created a starry background using the stars in the stamp set. It reminds me of one of my favourite Christmas song lyrics: “Children playing, having fun” – Shakin’ Stevens Merry Christmas Everyone.

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
