Witch way to the candy?!

August 29, 2022

Yeah, I’m already itching a bit, could that be because of the mini-mini monsters or because Halloween is approaching?? Esther has again designed something beautiful, a die set for the Pocket Pages, Pocket Pages Fillers is the name of the set, so cool and handy! With that I made this page for my Halloween album this year. I’m also trying to make it a Day by Day for October, simply because I love Halloween, so much to live up to. Even though the kids are grown up, I still like to decorate the house. Not as extensive as when the children were small, but pumpkins, my witches, the broom and mini horror houses. I love it this time of year! Finally we slowly go to autumn, everything dies down a bit to bloom again next spring. The real horror is not for me but a little itch is allowed.

It looks like an ordinary page in my planner, but nothing could be further from the truth.

When you open the page, a lot of monsters appear that have found a tree full of candies. They lustily snack on it, until it even makes them a little nauseous.

It has become a Pop Up page.

So cozy that Pop-Up in your planner!

This decoration is stuck on the case with double-sided tape. Below is a description of how to create a Pop-Up in the Planner Page Fillers.

Take a strip of design paper of 11 x 22cm and fold it in half to form a card of 11 x 11cm.

Place it with the score line against the cut edge of your chosen die. I used the largest square from the Planner Page Fillers set 1974 from E.C.D. Secure the die with a piece of washi tape and run it through your machine.

You now have a card of 11 x 11cm with a beautiful border!

Place the chosen die from Joset’s General POP-UP set 1389 AGAINST the scoreline of your card.

Just to be safe, I secure the die with Washi tape. Then unfold the card and run through your machine again.

Now you have a nice POP-UP card but it doesn’t fit in your Pocket Page yet.

To do this, cut the bottom edges off the card. Slide the card into your Pocket Page

Fold the Pop-Up together as it will be and secure the cut edges to the Pocket Page with washi tape.

Now the fun starts!!! Dressing up your Pop-Up.

So get started quickly!

I hope you like this Pop-Up idea in de Pocket Pages and that you get inspired to make your own.

I really love the Pop-Ups!

Have fun with it!

See you next time,

Marjolijn.

How To Create This Zebra Pop-Up Card

February 16, 2019

Hello everyone,

It’s Joset here today sharing this super cute Zebra Pop-Up card. I really love the General Pop-Up dies, they are so fun and versatile! You can really turn almost any die into a pop-up. Today I decided to use this cute little zebra and make a “Love you just the way you are” card. Make sure to check out this video HERE that I created a while ago showing the General Pop-Up die set.

Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock 90LB measuring 8 1/2″ x 11″ and score at 5 1/2″. Make sure the textured side is on the inside of the card.
  2. From the Adventure Edges 1 or 2 die set, use the cloudy looking edge to die cut a stencil. I used a piece of leftover backing from the ECD Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets.
  3. Create a cloudy background on the inside of the card (top part) using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a round Mini Ink Blending tool. For more info on how to create the background, click on this VIDEO.

4. Cut another stencil using the grass edge die from the Tree die set (or use the grass edge die from the Adventure Edges 1). Using the same technique as above, create a grass background on the bottom part of the card using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. Start from the top with Twisted Citron and work your way down. I used Mowed Lawn at the bottom 3 rows of grass.

5. Using the bottom left pop up die from the picture below, die cut a pop up in the middle of your score line. For more info, check out the video HERE.

6. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock 90LB measuring 9 1/4″ x 12″ and score at 6″. This card will be used to cover the whole of the pop up. Adhere your pop-up card on the inside. See picture below.

Now it’s time to decorate your pop up!

7. Cut a grass boarder from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. Adhere the grass boarder to the bottom of your card.

8. Create your zebra and adhere to the pop-up. For more info on how to create the zebra, watch this video HERE.

9. Cut a heart from white cardstock using the second smallest heart die from the Fitted Hearts set. Stamp sentiment with black ink. Color heart with Festive Berries Distress Ink. Adhere to card as shown.

Optional:

  • Decorate the outside of the card.
  • Die cut a rectangle from white cardstock using one of the Fitted Rectangle dies. Adhere on the grass part of the card to write a note.

I hope you enjoyed creating this card as much as I did.

Happy crafting!

A Santa Die Cut Gift Tag

December 24, 2017

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow again. I can’t believe it’s my last post of 2017.  First of all, Merry Christmas. I hope you are planning lots of fun times over the festive period, however you celebrate it.  I am of German heritage and I loved getting all my presents Christmas Eve. I let the girls open a small present Christmas Eve to keep the tradition alive, we have the rest of our presents Christmas Day – stockings when we first wake up and then we have Stollen Bread with Bucks Fizz and Prosecco, then a big round of presents before a big traditional British Christmas Day meal!  We have the in-laws over this year and I love them both so much. We will have lots of good food, laughter and fun while we celebrate our first Christmas in our own home. I’m so excited!

August 21, 2017

Hi everyone,

It’s Frances here and it’s my turn to post a tutorial for the Die Cutting Design Team today. As most of you know, I love pop up cards and I was super excited when I found out that we were getting a set of general pop up dies to create all sorts of fun projects. I designed a birthday card card using the new General Pop Ups die set along with a couple of other new dies that are being released this month. I don’t know about you, but I can never make too many birthday cards.

Merry Christmas Pop Up by Suzanne Cannon

Hi there! It’s Suzanne Cannon here today with a fun little project. It’s a card with a little pop up word surprise inside.  I don’t know how I figured out this would work, but maybe the cat (who loves to chew my diecuts when he is in a mood), manipulated Merry  Christmas in just the right way…..

This card is just waiting for more embellishments from your personal stash. It’s simple to make when you know a few easy tricks!  Here is how you do it.
