Sidekick planner page

August 21, 2021

Due to circumstances I have not worked much in my Sidekick planner lately.

But he is so cute that little one! And…..there are beautiful new Sidekick planners available in very nice colors and prints!

So, hop on with it!

On the left I used the new stamp set, actually this one is from the Planner Essentials collection. I cut off day 6 and 7 and made it a planner for the weekdays only. On the right I have room for the weekend days.

I still have to fill in the page. For this planner I don’t use photos, it’s purely an overview of the things I do.

I stamped on regular printer paper and edited it a bit with Distress ink so it blends in a bit more with the background.

That cute girl is from one of Esther’s new stamp sets, so sweet. I just stamped on kraft paper and cut it out. The bee is also from that set.

On the right I made a pocket and put a card in it. I can write the weekend things on it or stick a very small photo.

Again such a sweet girl, from another new set of Esther.

The pages further dressed up with what, yes, what do you call that?

It is a new die from a set for the Planner Essentials. I tore off pieces there and incorporated them both on the left and right of the page.

The page on the right is embossed paper, I created that with a 3D embossing die from Ellison/sizzix.

My garden

August 5, 2021

Esther’s beautiful book reminiscence 2 really invites you to use it for some beautiful garden pages in my memory planner. And working with the beautiful new collection she designed, made me completely happy. The blooming plants in the garden will do the rest.

For this page I used the set with the rounded corners page which gives your pages something chic. I love it!

Those sweet lovebirds are in another set (Birds on splatter page) and the tab received a stamp. Esther made a very nice set with stamps called “label tabs”.

You are supposed to cut them out, there is no die included, but on this die from the set “folded arrow insert” the stamps fit fine with a little measuring. Handy if you’re not that good at cutting!

The “arrow” is a kind of clip, you slide it around the page. So sweet.

I finished the long tag with reinforcements, a string through it and a charm on it. Really another fantastic extension of the Planner Essentials collection. For this page I used paper from Reminiscence the Book 2, P.E. 38 Birds on splatter page, P.E. 41 rounded corners page, P.E. 44 Folded Arrow insert, CS232 Label tabs and Reinforcement variety pack.

I hope you’re a little bit inspired by my page. Thanks again for your visit and see you next time,

With love,

Marjolijn

Springtime Nature Planner

July 1, 2021

Hello, it’s Annette Green here today with two spreads in my Nature Planner and a video walk-through of my process. Springtime in Greenville, SC is especially beautiful and since we are still new to the area, I’ve been in awe of this natural beauty and taking lots of photos.

Working in my Espresso Sidekick Planner, I have been documenting all sorts of nature. For my Spring photos, I chose to use the new Reminiscence The Book 2 papers with their bright and cheerful colors.
In the video, I share my method for beginning my pages, how I decide on the colors and then determine my photo sizes.
I am SO impressed with the beautiful macrame die-cut in this set! It cuts out perfectly and looks great on any page.
The stamps designed by Esther are fun to mix and match, especially these little girls in several of the sets.
I love how I don’t need a lot of embellishments to make a page look great. The paper collection has such a variety of cut-apart elements to choose from and layer together. I hope you take a moment to follow along in the video for a demo of how these pages came together. Thanks for stopping in today!

Sometimes we all need…a little magic

May 14, 2021

Wouldn’t you like that, too? A little magic, or help in the household? Well, I do. But with a good schedule it also saves a lot of time and energy. This time I adapted to what I can do and distributed the work throughout the day and the week. This way I also have energy left over for my hobby.

I love Esther’s beautiful paper so I went to work with the Reminiscence the book 2.

I made the basics with Planner Essentials 4. The edges got a lick of distress ink but I didn’t do anything about it. With Sidekick Essentials 8, I made a pocket that could hold a mini-book. I adhered it at the edges so there’s another ticket behind it. On the left corner I used another stamp from the CS134 Retro labels set. Below that, I made a trifold page with the Puzzle page from the new Art Journal collection. I only adhered it to the edges. He’s dressed with a “note for myself.” But first coffee! For that I used the dies from the Sidekick Essentials 4. Next to it I used a stamp from the fountain pen CS216 art journal chick that refers like an arrow to the coffee cup. I colored the pen using the watercolor palette.

In the pocket I made a mini-booklet with a page for every day. The days of the week I made with the Sidekick Essentials 3 set and for the tags I used Planner Essentials 26. For the narrow one I cut of a little trip on both sides. On the small tag I adhered Mary Poppins and on the big tag Bert. These ones are from a set called “the park” by Tim Holtz.

Mary Poppins stands for magic for me and Bert for a little help if necessary. I wrote the text with a stencil….no, my handwriting is really not that beautiful!!! The minibook received a stamp from the CS130 Bullet Journaling 3 set on each page.

The page is finished with reinforcements from Planner Essentials set 22. For the strip of arrows I used Planner essentials 14.

Now I have to fill everything in but I’m sure you’re not interested in my household schedule hihi. Otherwise…… I’d love to hear it. Honestly, this fröbelen was much more fun than that household but secretly I enjoy it enormously when my house is nice and clean. Maybe I should look for a little “Magic” or a help in the household?

Hope you find a little bit of magic for your household and a little inspiration by my page.

With love,

Marjolijn.

Relaxe….

May 2, 2021

Oh, I’m having a hard time with that. I’m always busy, never really resting. Haha, many of you will recognize this. But after contracting Covid 19 I had to slow down. However, I myself felt that I was already doing nothing. After all, I am not currently working and in the household I did not do much. I was just too tiring, even taking a walk was no longer possible. Until I was instructed by the occupational therapist to write down what I did. Well, it turned out I still did quite a lot!! I have included that overview of a week in this page. Because yes, since this week I have a little energy to work on my hobby. I won’t bother you with my weekly overview but I want to show you this page.

Esther has made another beautiful new paper book, Reminiscence the Book 2. Personally, I think it might be even more beautiful than the 1st book. Secretly a shame to cut into it, but I put the scissors in. So that’s what I started working on. For the page I used the Planner Essentials 22 set. Planner pocket 3 TOP LOADING. I filled the window with vellum.

On the page that is in it I made a pocket with Sidekick Essentials set 16 – Seed packet which I dressed with Sidekick Essentials set 17 – Window folder set. All edges are inked with distress ink.

On the back I made a notebook with 7 pages, for every day of the week one. For this I used printer paper and the stamp set CS132 – Important memo. With some stamps I put a quote on each page, these stamps are not from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I decorated the window with some dies from the Sidekick Essentials set 11 – This week. Behind the viewmaster wheel I pasted a circle and stamped the word RELAX on it twice. Also with stamps from my own collection. The stain and flowers come from the Art collection of Ilse and Charlene, Budding florals and Puzzle page.

And then the Puttertje oh oh oh how beautiful!!! I really didn’t want to put anything over that so that’s the front page of my “BOOK OF ME”

I hope this page inspires you a little bit, see you next time

With love,

Marjolijn

A special birthday

January 15, 2021

We had another birthday in the family. Sarah turned 18!! Sarah celebrated her 18th birthday sober but with Bubbles, cake and garlands! I also incorporated this special birthday into my planner.

Sarah loves pancakes so I was already up early in the morning making dough and baking them. With a delicious fresh smoothie, a real birthday breakfast.

The tag is incorporated behind it and on the back is the journaling.

In the evening her sister and friend came to celebrate and we toasted on Sarah’s birthday and better times.

With a little folder I wrote the title, another scrapbook page in my planner.

Planner page

October 1, 2020

A few weeks ago I received my sidekick planner Olive, oh oh, oh, he’s beautiful!! I’m so happy with this planner. Green is one of my favorite colors and then with those beautiful gold speckles incorporated, so cool.

At the moment I’m very busy with a Halloween album but of course there had to be a page in this beautiful planner. I don’t know what I’m going to use this planner for yet, so I just got to work.

With the sidekick planner set 5 I created an extended page.

I’ve decorated the page with graphic 45 design paper, I haven’t added any photos yet but once I know were I’m going to use this planner for, It’s easy to add.

I also covered the back of the page and added a pocket. For the pocket I used Planner Essentials 26 Tags and Toppers.

I fussy cut some mushrooms from the design paper and placed them on the pocket.

I already think it’s a nice page for the coming spring or am I running really fast? 😉 😉

Thank you for visiting and see you next time!

Greenville Planner – old friends and new

September 3, 2020

Hello again, Annette Green here today with more pages from my Greenville Planner. We’ve been here in Greenville several months now and starting to have our first Florida visitors and are making new friends too, so that’s what my planner pages are all about this month.

I began on the back side of the page (left) where I used Planner Pocket 4 to create a top loading pocket page. I used the “Reminiscence” paper collection throughout and Planner Pocket 2 to create the diagonal pocket and Planner Essentials 8 for the narrow page. What A Day was cut from Sidekick Essentials 5 and Today’s Notes was stamped from the Sidekick 1 stamp set. All edges were inked with brown ink for a vintage effect.

Next, I stamped several mushrooms from the “Autumn Surprise” stamp set using permanent black ink, colored them with markers and cut them out. Again, I inked the outer edges with brown ink.

After journaling my notes, I began adhering elements onto the lower pocket then adhered a double photo mat to the top of the page. To finish off this page, I added the hole reinforcers from Planner Essentials 7.

I sized my photo accordingly and adhered it in place, then inserted some keepsakes into the pocket. Items such as the State Park Guest Pass and the map of the hiking trail are great pieces of memorabilia to help remember the details of this fun day with our friends.

Next I prepared some pieces for the next few pages. I’ve used the photo frame from Planner Essentials 3 and the narrow tag and “clip” from Sidekick Essentials 5. (The paper on the right is the cut-away portion from the top-loading pocket page.)

For my narrow page, I simply adhered the photo frame to the center, slightly hanging off the right side and stamped the sentiment using the Pieces of Life 3 Quotes set. The Maple Street Biscuit Company piece is cut from a coffee sleeve after having a delicious breakfast with our friends before our hike. It’s always great to use these little freebies as embellishments.

Onto the back side of the narrow page, I added a black mat and my photo, then stamped the journaling block from the My Life set, Smile from the Months set, Little Moments Big Memories from the Family set, and finally the Notes circle from the Circle Labels set.

I cut my right hand page from green card stock using Planner Essentials 3 then began assembling my pieces. After sizing my photos, cutting some matts and adhering them down, I finished off this page with a stamped label from the Retro Labels set and “friends” cut from Planner Essentials 7. The mushrooms add a whimsical and colorful accent to my pages.

My pages are complete! I hope you’ve enjoyed the process. Below I’ve listed all the products used. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Place

August 2, 2020

Does that ever happen to you? You start something and suddenly it becomes something completely different than you planned?

Well, to me this happens on a regular basis.

I started a page about week 2 of July but it became a page of my Happy Place. Well, actually a summary of week 2 because I spent all my free time in my Happy Place?

I’m working on a big project and I can’t and won’t show anything about it until it’s complete. That’s the reason why there are no pictures added to this page yet.

For this page I used Esther’s patterned design paper, Reminiscence, I love it!!!

The left page is made of Soft Finish Cardstock and colored with Oxide Inks gathered twigs, faded jeans and iced spruce. I also added some ink on the patterned paper page so the two would match nicely together.

Between the pages I made a pocket, I’m in love with that die set! On the pocket I adhered the ECD logo and a piece of the banner that sat around the sidekick beach planner. It came with a very sweet note, real happy mail!!

I kept the note and the nice sticker in the pocket.

For the pages I used various Sidekick and Planner Essentials and Art Journal stamps and dies.

I also used Silk Microfine Glitter to color some of my die cuts. I first cut the images out of cardstock backed with Clear Double Sided Tape and then sprinkled it with the glitter. This Silk Microfine Glitter, yellow & turquoise really doesn’t give off, I find that a very nice side effect.

I’ve had a lot of fun creating this page again and hopefully I’ve inspired you a little bit.

See you next time! ?

Marjolijn.
