2021 Planner Dashboard and January Divider Page

January 5, 2021

Hello again, it’s Annette Green here with a brand new Planner for 2021. I’ve created a simple dashboard page and my first monthly divider page to share with you today.

This is my actual planner/datebook for the year which I will use for appointments, to-do lists, and notes. Each month will have a divider and one photo mat reserved for my top photo of the month. All other memory keeping will be done in a separate planner.
To create my dashboard page, I die-cut pretty paper (Graphic 45’s Woodland Friends collection) using the Wave Pocket die which I will create a double pocket page with. I will adhere it to a plain page (blue) which I die-cut using Planner Essentials 4. As an accent piece, I die-cut the small piece using the Note Pieces set.
After folding the wave pocket piece, I adhered it to the blue page using adhesive on the left, right and bottom only to create a double pocket. These pockets will be used for things such as a list of goals for the year, memorabilia, or receipts for a few examples. I die-cut 2021 (pink) from the Retro Number Trio set as well as two hole reinforcers from the Reinforcement Variety Pack. The final touches are stickers from the paper collection.
Onto the back of my dashboard page I built a photo page by die-cutting two tag shapes, one inside the other, from floral pink paper using the Wave Pocket die set again. I’ll save the smaller tag for later. I also die-cut the outline pieces from green paper for decorating the tag top. Finally, I cut an ivory cardstock piece for my photo window.
After adhering the ivory card stock to the back of the larger tag, I adhered this unit to the page and added border strips and a pretty sticker across the top. To finish it off, I die-cut some hole reinforcers in two colors, blue and green, as well as the “Heart This” unit from the Wave Pocket die set.
The back side of my dashboard page is now complete and ready for my favorite photo of the month of January.
Next, I die-cut the tabbed page from Planner Essentials 1 (pink floral paper) and stamped the month using the CS116 “Months” stamp set. Then I die-cut January from the Planner Months die set and adhered it to patterned paper, then trimmed out a small calendar and also mounted it to blue patterned paper, and adhered all these elements to the page.
After adding a few more hole reinforcements to the page, it’s done! Next I’ll insert my actual planner pages I’ve created myself on my computer, which are also available for download (ruled or unruled) in my Etsy shop along with the mini calendars. They’ve been designed specifically for the ECD planner just for you ECD fans! I’m creating a video tutorial of this 2021 planner which will be finished this week, so stay tuned for that on my blog and YouTube channel. Thanks so much for visiting today! Step-By-Step: July Title Page

July 11, 2019

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you a title page for inside my planner to mark the start of July.

To create my title page, I’ve used a variety of dies from the Planner Essentials collection and ModaScrap. I hope you enjoy my tutorial!

Step one. From the Planner Essentials – 1 die set, die cut the page out of a piece of patterned paper. Ink the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step two. From the Planner Essentials – 5 die set, die cut a set of the reinforcements twice out of another piece of coordinating patterned paper. Ink the edges of the reinforcements circles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step three. Die cut the page from the Planner Essentials – 2 die set out of a third piece of coordinating patterned paper. Ink the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step four. Die cut the 2 3/4″ Dashing Circle out of the backside of one of the coordinating patterned paper pieces. Ink the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step five. Die cut the large tag from the Planner Essentials – 5 die set out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step six. From the Planner Elements die set, die cut three stitched hexagons from one of the patterned papers. Die cut four stitched hexagons from one of the other patterned papers. Ink the edges of the hexagons using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step seven. Die cut the circle wreath from the Planner Pocket – 2 die set twice out of the two patterned papers you used for the stitched hexagons.

Step eight. From the Planner Months die set, die cut the July word out of one of the patterned papers used for the circle wreaths. Die cut the July word a second time out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step nine. Adhere six of the reinforcements to the left hand page. This completes your left hand page of the spread.

Step ten. Adhere the other six reinforcements to the right hand side page.

Step eleven. Adhere the stitched hexagons as desired on the tag. Trim off any hexagons that are hanging over the tag. Ink the edges of the hexagons if needed using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Foam square the tag to the middle of the right hand page.

Step twelve. Foam square the dashing circle to the middle of the tag. Adhere the two circle wreaths overtop of the dashing circle, making sure the wreaths are both showing.

Step thirteen. Adhere the patterned paper ‘July’ slightly overtop of the ‘July’ White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere the July word to the middle of the dashing circle. This finishes the right hand page of your planner spread.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my July Title Page.

Katelyn
