February Planner Page

February 6, 2019

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my February Planner Page. For the start of each month, I love creating a planner title page that either reflects an occasion that happens in that month or a season. To create my February Planner Page, I’ve used dies from the Planner Essentials collection and Els van de Burgt Studio. I hope that you enjoy my tutorial!

Step 1. On a scrap piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock, use a blending tool with foam to blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and Candied Apple Distress Ink on the cardstock. Die cut the small Entwined Hearts die twice out of the Worn Lipstick side of the cardstock. Die cut the small Entwined Hearts die twice out of the Candied Apple side of the cardstock. Ink the edges of all the hearts using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 2. From the Blackboard Alphabet die, die cut the F, E, B and dot out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple Distress Ink over the letters and dot. Ink the edges of the letters and dot using a Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 3. Choose two pieces of patterned paper from the ModaScrap – Simply Love Paper Pack. Die cut the large Entwined Heart out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut the medium Entwined Heart out of the other patterned paper. Ink the edges of the hearts using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 4. Die cut the 3 1/4″ Stitched Heart out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the heart using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 5. From one of the patterned papers you already used, die cut the 1 1/8″ Stitched Fishtail Banner out of the paper. Place the notched side of the stitched fishtail banner on the other side of the patterned paper to create a notch on the other size. The banner will end up measuring 4 3/4″ long. Ink the edges of the banner using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 6. Choose another piece of patterned paper from the ModaScrap – Simply Love Paper Pack. Die cut the planner page from the Planner Essentials – 1 die out of the patterned paper. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the February Calendar stamp and stamp onto the tab of the page. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the bubble stamp from the Patterns 2 Stamp Set and stamp onto the page. Reapply ink to the bubble stamp and stamp again on the page. You’ll need to repeat this step three more times onto the page.

Step 7. With a piece of foam square, adhere the banner to the middle of the page. Then, adhere the stitched heart to the middle of the banner.

Step 8. Adhere the large entwined heart over top of the stitched heart. Adhere the medium entwined heart to the middle of the stitched heart.

Step 9. Adhere the ‘FEB.’ to the middle of the stitched heart. Adhere the small hearts randomly around the hearts on the planner page. To finish off the page, add white lines to the bubbles where the other lines are.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my February Planner Page.

This Week Planner Spread

January 31, 2019

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you this week’s planner spread for my planner. Creating planner spreads has never been easier using the Planner Essentials Collection. By using a variety of the dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection, as well as patterned paper from ModaScrap, it allowed me to customize my planner and create my this planner spread. I hope that you enjoy my tutorial!

Step 1. From the Planner Essentials – 2 die, die cut four small tags out of kraft cardstock. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the day of the week stamp from the Calendar stamp set and stamp Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday on each of the tags. Ink the edges of the tags using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Write in a date and details about each day using a black pen.

Step 2. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the rectangle box stamp from the Schedule stamp set and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Repeat the previous step a second time and stamp onto the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut out the two rectangle boxes. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the day of the week stamp from the Calendar stamp set and stamp Tuesday, Friday and Saturday on each of the boxes. Ink the edges of the rectangle boxes using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Write in a date and details about each day using a black pen.

Step 3. From the Planner Patterns, die cut the geometric pattern twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the two pieces in half, giving you four pattern pieces.

Step 4. From the Planner Essentials – 3 die, die cut the large banner out of kraft cardstock. From the same die set, die cut the “This Week” banner out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of each banner using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 5. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the flower stamp from the Patterns 1 stamp set and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Repeat the previous step again and stamp on the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Reapply the Potting Soil Archival Ink to the flower stamp and stamp onto a piece of kraft cardstock. Repeat the previous step again and stamp onto the same piece of kraft cardstock. On the white soft cardstock, sprinkle Spring Green Magenta Nuance powder overtop of the flowers. On the kraft cardstock, sprinkle Aquamarine Magenta Nuance Powder overtop of the flowers. Spritz both pieces of paper with water. Dry with a heat tool. Fussy cut the four flower bunches out.

Step 6. Choose a piece of patterned paper from ModaScrap’s Wood Effect Paper Pack. From the Planner Essentials – 2 die, die cut the planner page out of the patterned paper piece. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the January date and stamp onto the tab. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the stitched stamp and stamp at the bottom right and top left of the page. Ink the edges of the page using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 7. Using the same patterned paper piece from step 6, die cut the planner page from the Planner Essentials – 3 die out of the patterned paper piece. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the February date and stamp onto the tab. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the stitched stamp and stamp at the bottom left and top right of the page. Ink the edges of the page using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Step 8. Adhere two of the geometric pattern pieces to the January page. Adhere a white flower bunch to the right of the January tab. Adhere the “This Week” banner to the kraft cardstock banner. Foam square the banners to the top right side of the page. Adhere Monday, Tuesday and Thursday tags and box to the page as desired. Note: I sometimes mix up my days of the week on my pages.

Step 9. Adhere two of the geometric pattern pieces to the February page. Adhere a white flower bunch to the right of the third hole from the top of the page. Adhere one of the kraft flower bunches to left of the February tab and adhere the other kraft flower bunch the right of the two bottom holes of the page. Adhere Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday tags and box to the page as desired. Note: I sometimes mix up my days of the week on my pages.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my This Week Planner Spread.
