Just Breathe

May 16, 2023

Hi everyone, It’s Tina here. I played with the Stencil Planners 3 to create Background and topped it off with the Daffodils Dies and the Honey Bear Dies for the Bees. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/2″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Add Distress Oxide Inks onto a Gel Plate. I used Uncharted Mariner, Rusty Hinge, and Lost Shadow. Use a brayer to spread and mix the inks. Place a Planner Stencil 3 on top of the inks. Remove the stencil and trimmed White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ on top. Remove the cardstock and let it dry for a few minutes.

Step 3 – Diecut Stitched Indented Rectangles using the panel created from Step 2. To add dimension diecut Stitched Indented Rectangles 2 times and adhere to the back of the panel. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Daffodils in various colors of Cardstock. Assemble and adhere to card front using Kid’s Choice Glue. For added dimension add some Foam Tape to the backside of the Daffodils.

Step 5 – Diecut Honey Bear (bees) in various colors of cardstock. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue and adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 6 – Stamp Zen Sentiment on White Soft Finish Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Diecut the sentiment using Fitted Fishtails. Optional: flip the sentiment and diecut a second time on the other side. Now you have both sides with fishtails. Adhere to card using Foam Tape on the edges and 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape in the center.

This card can be used for occasions by simply changing the sentiment and/or colors. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stocking Card

December 20, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I can’t believe the holidays are just days away. This is my last post for 2022 so I decided to add some bonus cards. Below are the steps to create your own cards.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish to 7″ x 6″, score at 3 1/2″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish to 3 1/2″ x 6″. Place Planner Stencils 1 on top of panel and apply Versamark. Remove the stencil and sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder. Remove the excess and heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. (Planner Stencil 1 is no longer in stock so you can replace with Planner Stencil 3.)

Step 3 – Diecut Holiday Stocking using various colors of Glitter Cardstock. If you don’t have Glitter Cardstock you can make your own using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets and Silk Microfine Glitter by placing Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheets on Soft Finish Cardstock. Remove the release sheet and add Silk Microfine Glitter. Remove the excess and burnish it with your finger. Assemble and adhere to card front using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Stamp Holiday Treats sentiment using Versamark on White Soft Finish Cardstock. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool.

Step 5 – Diecut Diagonal Stitched Fishtails to the sentiment created in Step 4. Adhere to card front using a piece of Foam Tape on the left side and 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the right.

Bonus Cards

All the cards are using the same products but the colors and stencils are different. I used Planner Stencils 1 & 2 but it is no longer in stock. Instead you can use Planner Stencils 3.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 11″ x 4 1/2″, score at 5 1/2″ and fold in half for a horizontal top fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Diecut Fitted Circles using Masking Sheets and place on top of the trimmed Cardstock. Apply inks of your color choice using a Blender brush. Once done place Planner Stencil on top and using the same colors. This is called Double Stenciling. Remove the masks.

Step 3 – Diecut Fitted Indented Rectangles using the panels created in Step 2.

Step 4 – Stamp Holiday Treats sentiments to the panels created in Step 2 using Versamark. Sprinkle Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Beautiful Baubles using Matte Cardstock for the baubles top and string. Beautiful Baubles is no longer in stock so you can use Classic Christmas Special Kit for the baubles top and use string or draw a line for the string.

Cardmaking Inspiration from the Design Team Joset Designs

Hip, Hop, Hello

March 11, 2021

Hi Friends, it’s EK. I don’t know about you, but with spring on the horizon, I am just craving outside and nature. I thought I would dive right into the season with the super cute Frog die set and some copic coloring.

Step One: Die cut the Frog die set out of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. Color the pieces with alcohol markers. I used copic marker G21, G82, G24, and YG67.

Step Two: Color the Frog accent pieces. I used Y00 and Y11 for the eyes, W5 and W7 for the ‘black’ bits, and R22 and R24 for the tongue.

Step Three: Using a liquid adhesive, adhere the Frog pieces. I used Kids Choice Glue.

Step Four: Die cut and color the pond pieces and lily pad from the Frog dies set. I used BG70, BG72, BG75 and BG79 for the pond and G24, G28, and G29 for the lily pad.

Step Five: Blend ink onto a trimmed piece of cardstock into an ombre design. I used Speckled Egg, Stormy Sky, and Faded Jeans Distress.

Step Six: Die cut a frame from 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock. I used both the Stitched Indented Rectangle die set and Fitted Indented Rectangle die set.

Step Seven: Using 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the frame onto the ombre background. Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive adhere the background onto an A2 card frame.

Step Eight: Using both liquid adhesive and 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the pond, lily pad and frog onto the card.

Step Nine: Add a sentiment from the Prince & Frog Sentiment stamp set to the card frame in blue ink. I used Fade Jeans Distress Oxide.

Step Ten: Add frog prints from the Prince & Frog Sentiment stamp set to the corners of the frame.

I hope you are as excited about spring as I am. Let me know in the comments below which of the ECD dies reminds you of spring the most. Until then, happy crafting.
