Sadie in the House

January 3, 2023

Karen here. Happy New Year! Most of my posts recently have been about my December Day-by-Day album but I’m taking a break today to add to my Sadie album. Sadie is my guy’s dog. She is battling cancer, and I’m creating an album for him full of memories of his sweet dog. Today’s pages are Sadie at home while she’s snoozing.

I used the fun Dog House die from Joset to decorate the Planner Pocket 2 (that sits on a Planner Essentials 4 page base. I stamped the word “Sweet” on the front of the page using the Block Alphabet stamp set.

The tags inside the pocket are die cut with the Nested Tags and are decorated with pictures of a snoozing Sadie as well as stamps from the Family set. They are perfect for these tags.

On the back is are more adorable photos. That bottom one with her tongue hanging out makes me giggle. She sure was super sleepy!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Craftily yours, Karen

Hey Everyone!  It’s EK Gorman, and I am popping in with a new card making project today.  I thought it might be fun with so many people adopting new fur friends recently, that it might be fun to create a project welcoming these new babies.  Joset’s Cat and Dog dies are perfect for these special times of adoptions.

IMG_0354Step One:  Die cut the Dog die set pieces from 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock.

IMG_0355Step Two:  Color the die cut pieces using alcohol markers.  I used Copics.  Assemble the pieces using Kids Choice Glue.

IMG_0356Step Three:  Repeat steps one and two using this time the Cat die set.

IMG_0357Step Four:  Repeat steps one and two using the Dog House die set.

IMG_0358Step Five:  Trim two piece of 90 Soft Finish Cardstock to 6×6 inches.

IMG_0359Step Six:  Die cut one of the 6×6 piece of cardstock with two die from the Stitched Indented Square to make a frame.

IMG_0360Step Seven:  Using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive adhere the die cut frame to the second piece of 6×6 trimmed cardstock.  Adhere the dog house using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

IMG_0380Step Eight:  Using 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the Cat and Dog to the card.  Using Kids Choice Glue adhere the bones and bowl to the card.

Step Nine:  Using brown ink, stamp a sentiment to the cardstock using the Furrever Friends stamp set.

Step Ten:  Using 10mm Clear Double Sided adhesive, add the cardstock to a 6×6 card frame.  Add some brown ink detailing to the edges of the card.
