Santa Is Coming!

December 24, 2019

Here Comes Santa Claus! Hello – Samantha here…with my last Christmas card for the year! I completely love the idea of Santa’s alternative mode of transportation portrayed in this card…I can totally see him giving Rudolf the night off and flying around in this modified Safari Jeep!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Cut green card stock to fit an A6 card base. (Measurements: 114mm x 162mm)

Step 2: Die cut the Adventures Edges wave die using white cardstock and to create a snowy background. Adhere to card base – trim.

Optional: Add machine stitched details.

Step 3: Using red, black and white cardstock die cut the Safari Jeep. Put aside the grill, side mirrors, and head lights to die cut (see Step 6) with silk microfine glitter.

Step 4: Stamp the sentiment on the ‘Safari Jeep’ bumper.

Step 5: Adhere Clear Double Sided adhesive to red cardstock. Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Light Gold). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 6: Die cut the remaining ‘Safari Jeep’ parts – grill, side mirrors, and head lights.

Step 7: Die cut the Santa using red, white, cream and black cardstock.

NOTE: Only the top half of Santa is required for this card.

Step 8: Assemble and adhere the Santa die cut peices together.

Step 9: Adhere the wheels to the card front, and start to assemble the Safari Jeep.

Step 10: Adhere Santa to the card front. Using pattern paper and cardstock die cut the presents (from Santa’s Sleigh die) and adhere them to the card front.

TIP: Before permanently adhering the Santa and presents check that they align with the Jeep.

Step 11: Adhere the Jeep over the Santa and presents. Adhere additional die cut presents to the card front. Die cut and adhere Santa’s bell using gold card. Embellish with sequins and a twine bow.

Happy Crafting –– hope you enjoyed my final Christmas card for this year and that Santa will be visiting you tonight (preferably with some brand new crafting goodies!)

Merry Christmas!

Samantha

Eat, Drink & Be Scary

September 17, 2019

Hello – Samantha here! Today I am sharing a Halloween-themed card. Halloween might not be wildly celebrated here in Australia – but I have always enjoyed the colour schemes and fun images associated with this holiday. I also enjoy eating candy and chocolate…

Instructions:

Step 1: Using black cardstock die cut the spider web and adhere this to a black card base measuring 10.5cm x 15.5cm .

Step 2: Using bright pink cardstock die cut the spider web – use the negative pieces and insert these into the negative space of the black outlined spider web.

TIP: Adhere Clear Double Sided adhesive to the back of the pink card before die-cutting to make the adhering process quick and easy.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 to fill in the remaining negative spaces using bright orange and purple card or specialty paper.

Step 4: Adhere Double Sided Adhesive to black card stock and die cut the spiders 3x.

Step 5: Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Basic Black). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 6: Using watermark ink – stamp the sentiment. Apply a generous amount of white embossing powder and heat set with a heat gun/tool. Trim to size as shown.

(Optional) Add machine stitched detail to the spider web.

Step 7: Assemble card – use foam tape to adhere the sentiment and spiders. Embellish with enamel dots and a twine bow. Adhere to an A6 side folding card base.

Happy Crafting!
