Jingle All The Way Card

January 4, 2021

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Before we get started I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and better days!

Today I am sharing a card combining different product from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I mixed Joset Designs, Sue Stamps and Planner Essentials to create this super cute Slimline Card. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 8 1/2”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4” x 8 1/4”. Apply Distress Oxide Ink using an ink applicator starting from the bottom in the lightest color. I used Tumbled GLass, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Optional – Add Gouache onto an acrylic block and spray it with a little water. Using a paintbrush splash onto the background created to give the illusion of snow. Let dry.

Step 3 – Stamp Hugs sentiment (Jingle All The Way) using Versamark onto the panel created from Step 2. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Diecut Planner Essentials 12 Arrow Page & Trees using Green Cardstock for the tree with holes, Red Metallic Cardstock for the solid tree and Gold Glitter Cardstock for the star. Assemble using Kids Choice Glue. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut Adventure Edges 2 using White Soft Finish Cardstock x 3 in different positions. Adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue layering each panel.

Step 6 – Diecut Jack Frost & Winter Accessories using White Soft Finish Cardstock for the snowman, Red and White Cardstock for the hat, Red for the scarf and black for the eyes and buttons, orange for the nose. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7 – Diecut Penguin using Black and White Cardstock for the Penguin, orange for the feet and Blue for the scarf. Assemble and adhere to card using Kids Choice Glue.

I used the Red Metallic beneath the tree holes because when you move the card and the light hits it it gives the illusion of flashing lights. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

You’re Cool!

December 27, 2020

Hello! Welcome – Samantha here. With Christmas done for another year I wanted to share a card that stretches the use of Christmas themed dies. I’ve partnered the Jack Frost die with Cute Winter Sentiment stamp to create this fun general card perfect for any time of the year.

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Create a card front using light blue card (Card Measurement: 10.5cm x 14.5cm).

Step 2: Using white soft finish card die cut the snowy ground using Adventure Edges dies. Adhere these to the card as shown below.

Step 3: Using a different shade of light blue die cut the three snowflakes from the Snow Globe die – adhere these to the card.

Step 4: (Optional) Add machine stitched details.

Step 5: Die cut all the Jack Frost pieces and assemble him onto the card front.

TIP: I enjoy adding texture to a card – using felt material was an great way to make Jack Frost look and feel like a fluffy snowman and it die cut perfectly with Elizabeth Craft Design dies.

Step 6: Stamp the sentiment, trim and using foam tape adhere it to the card front.

Step 7: Adhere the googly eyes. Die cut additional Jack Frost buttons to use as snow drops on your background.

Step 8: Embellish with some sequins, and a twine bow. Switch out the die cut Jack Frost paper buttons for some gems/enamel dots to add additional interest to the card.

Step 9: Adhere card front to an A6 card base.

Thank you for stopping by – I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you get some time during the holiday season to continue using these beautiful Christmas themed dies for some not so Christmassy cards.

Happy Crafting!

Samantha

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

December 12, 2019

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today I am sharing a super fun card using the Winter Bears Stamp set, Adventure Edges and Joyful Wishes Sentiment Stamp set. Below are the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Apply Distress Oxide Ink starting from the bottom using Tumbled Glass, then working into Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. Create a snowfall effect using white acrylic paint on a paintbrush by tapping the brush. Let dry.

Step 3 – Diecut Adventure Edges 2 (the hill die) 2 times. Adhere bottom layer to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Stamp Joyful Wishes sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the top layer. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Stamp Winter Bears images using Gina K Amalgam Ink on White Soft Finish Cardstock. Colour the images using colour medium of your choice. I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers. Diecut images with the matching dies. Adhere using Kids Choice Glue to some images and Foam Tape to the remaining images.

Step 5 – Optional – For added interest and sparkle randomly adhere Jewels using Kids Choice Glue.

The Winter Bears Stamp set is still one of my favorite stamp set for my holiday cards. You can mix and match using other Krista Schneider sets to create many different holiday scene cards or just change the colours. Below you will find the link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Bugs & Butterflies

April 15, 2019

Hello! Welcome! Samantha here sharing a simple background technique using the hills die from Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges. Landscape dies are one of my favourite die designs –– there’s quite a few ways to use them and if you think outside the box you can create fun backgrounds like the one I’ve created in my card today!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Colour in three butterflies using your preferred colouring medium.

Step 2: Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive (measurement 3cm x 16cm) to the front of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 3: Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Diva Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 4: Die cut the Adventure Edges die.

Step 5: Die cut again to create a thin wavy strip.

Step 6: Using a selected choice of card stock colours, die cut the Adventure Edges die again. Adhering each one on top of another (like a puzzle piece) to create your backgound.

Step 7: Trim off the excess card and stamp the sentiment.

Step 8: (Optional) Add machine Stitched details.

Step 9: Adhere the three coloured in butterflies, embellish card with sequins, a twine bow and adhere to an A6 side folding card base.

Here are two more background examples using this same technique. I personally love how the lady bug card turned out…

Happy Crafting!
