Adventure Edges 2

Krista Schneider Silk Microfine Glitter Soft Finish Cardstock Stamping

Bugs & Butterflies

April 15, 2019

Hello! Welcome! Samantha here sharing a simple background technique using the hills die from Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges. Landscape dies are one of my favourite die designs –– there’s quite a few ways to use them and if you think outside the box you can create fun backgrounds like the one I’ve created in my card today!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Colour in three butterflies using your preferred colouring medium.

Step 2: Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive (measurement 3cm x 16cm) to the front of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 3: Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Diva Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 4: Die cut the Adventure Edges die.

Step 5: Die cut again to create a thin wavy strip.

Step 6: Using a selected choice of card stock colours, die cut the Adventure Edges die again. Adhering each one on top of another (like a puzzle piece) to create your backgound.

Step 7: Trim off the excess card and stamp the sentiment.

Step 8: (Optional) Add machine Stitched details.

Step 9: Adhere the three coloured in butterflies, embellish card with sequins, a twine bow and adhere to an A6 side folding card base.

Here are two more background examples using this same technique. I personally love how the lady bug card turned out…

Happy Crafting!

Samantha

Hi there.

It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this cute Zebra Birthday Card step-by-step.

Step 1: Cut out and add color

  • Cut out all the elements from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Zebra die set and some extras from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Party Accessories die set from white Soft Finish Cardstock
  • Color them with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • Add highlights with a white gel pen, extra shading with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and some shimmer with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter

Step 2: Assembly

  • Assemble the adorable little zebra using liquid glue

Step 3: Create a background

  • Cut out a stitched panel using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles and a hill shape from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges 2 die set from watercolor cardstock
  • Add color with Distress Oxide Inks (Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean)
  • Mist the panels with water for extra texture

Step 4 – Stamp the sentiment

  • Stamp the sentiment from the matching stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

I hope you got inspired to use the new Joset dies on your next project. Which one is your favorite?

Hugs,
