Hello, it is Christine here today with a card that I created for Breast Cancer Awareness as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This card is dedicated to our very own wonderful designer Susan Tierney-Cockburn in memory of her daughter Kelly and to all those that have been affected by breast cancer.
My idea for this card started with a local news report on a gentleman from a couple of towns over from us who grows a field of pink pumpkins each year and, once harvested, sells the pumpkins and donates all proceeds to Relay for Life. I started with a pinkish pumpkin using Susan’s new Garden Notes French Pumpkin and then added in a couple more of her new releases – Garden Notes Helenium and Feverfew 1.

This is a simple card that conveys a powerful message. Dealing with a serious illness requires both hope and courage. I picked shades of pink for a friend who is about to have surgery for breast cancer. The dies are from Suzanne Cannon’s newest release, part of the A Way With Words collection.
Hello artlets! It’s Suzanne here today with a thoughtful card designed for someone who needs encouragement. Hope, Believe, Courage – these are some of the more important words in the A Way With Words Collection and today I’ve chosen to use Hope.
Choose some beautiful paper from your stash and let’s get started….

This card is for my friend Jane. Hope. That’s the word we’re embracing. We hope her treatment continues to knock cancer out of her body, we hope to go to the Cape together next summer, we hope to make each other laugh for many, many more years!
And I hope you’ll want to make this card for someone brave in your life, too.
