Snowflake Thanks

December 28, 2018

It’s Karen here.  I hope everyone had a fun and happy holiday.  It’s a great time to create some fun cards to say “thanks” to our loved ones for coming to visit, for gifts we may have received, and lots of other reasons.  I’m providing some inspiration today using the Snowflakes dies and some Silk Microfine Glitter.

Here are the steps to replicate the card:

Step 1. From 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, cut a rectangle measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″; score at 5-1/2″ and fold in half to create a top-fold card base.

Step 2. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and adhere 4″ double-sided adhesive to the back of it.  Cut another piece the same size and adhere 4″ double-sided adhesive to the front of it.

Step 3.  From the cardstock with adhesive on the front, cut the solid border snowflake shape.  Use both the small and medium snowflakes in the set. From the cardstock with the adhesive on the back, cut both the detail and the border.

Step 4.  Apply Silk Microfine Glitter to the solid shape.  Use Light Brown on the smaller die cut and Antique Silver on the medium one.  Peel the backing off the detail version and adhere to the glittered version.

Step 5.  Cut another piece of Soft-Finish Cardstock at 4-1/4″x5-1/2″.  From the Rainbow Bark 6×6 Collection, cut one piece about 4″ wide. Use the wavy Adventure Edges to cut across, then flip it to cut again to create the wavy pattern shown below.  Adhere this to the white cardstock and cut with the third largest Dashing Rectangle die.

Step 6.  Die cut the word “Thanks” from the Words 2 – Thinking of You set from silver metallic paper backed with 4″ double-sided adhesive.

Step 7.  Cut a piece of gray cardstock at 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere the white/rainbow bark piece to this.  Then add in the word thanks and the snowflake, using pop tape on the snowflake.

Step 8.  Accent with a couple of enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to check out all the FUN dies and more at Elizabeth Craft Designs!

Craftily yours,

Karen
