Hi Friends, it’s S@ndy here today with a two-sided snowflake ornament for your Christmas Tree. I used the Elizabeth Craft Snow Globe Scene die set in a little different way this time. I didn’t add snow to this one but you could if you like. These ornaments are the perfect size to use as a gift tag or embellishment, too.
This project is lots of fun – so let’s get started –
I bought these little plastic globes at my local craft store. They are just the perfect size for the Snow Globe Scene die set and the adhesive is already on the outer edge.
Step 1. Using the Snowflakes die set, cut one large snowflake from white cardstock.
Step 2. Using the third smallest die in the Fitted Circles die set, cut out the center of the snowflake.
Step 3. Using the Snow Globe Scene die set – cut out desired pieces. The church, trees, snowflakes and snowbanks were used here. This project is double-sided, cut 2 of each.
Step 4. Using the same circle from the Fitted Circles cut one piece of acetate. (It’s difficult to see in the photo.)
Step 5. Color pieces as desired. Put a piece of yellow behind the church pieces so it looks like light in the windows.
Step 6. Place globe on snowflake on one side only.
Step 7. arrange and adhere scene on one side of the acetate.
Step 8. Turn over the acetate, arrange and adhere the remaining pieces, carefully lining them up with the pieces on the other side.
Step 9. Place acetate piece over opening in snowflake (taking care that the snowflake is positioned as shown in the photo with a long point centered at the top!) and then place remaining globe over it on the other side. Add a small loop of fishing line through the top of the snowflake for a hanger.
This is a fun and easy way to add some holiday spirit to your gifts and home décor. I hope you will give it a try.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I will see you soon,
