A Way With Words

Shoot for the Moon

May 5, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!

Interested in creating some crafty inspiration?  Well, you came to the right spot!  The card I am sharing today uses one of the inspiring and sweet quotes from Suzanne Cannon’s Soar stamp set, Shoot for the Moon.  Last week I shared a happy card using some of the other stamps from the set.  I just could not put them away without creating another card.

Instructions:

Step 1 – Create sky background using mixed media paper and desired sprays.  Dry.

Step 2 – Cut background to desired size.  (Leave a little extra in the length as you will cut this to create the fishtail border across the bottom edge.)

Step 3 – Place background onto craft mat.  Dip paint brush into white acrylic paint and lightly tap paint brush handle onto your finger to create splatters (“stars”).  Air dry.

Step 4 – Stamp quote onto background using black archival ink.  Dry.

Step 5 – Die cut bottom using fishtail border die.

Step 6 – Adhere ribbon band to top of background using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to secure it. Wrap cut ends to the back at the sides as shown.

Step 7 – Create top-fold card base from black cardstock.  Die cut bottom using a fishtail border die that is larger than the pink panel.

Step 8 – Mount stamped panel to card front using foam tape for dimension.

Step 9 – Cut white cardstock to size and die cut using fishtail border.  Mat to inside of card using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 10 – Create a triple-loop bow and mount to card front using liquid adhesive.

Step 11 – Add glitter to stars (optional).

Step 12 – Kindly surprise someone with this inspirational gift.  🙂

Thank you for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the tutorial.

Have a happy, crafty day.

Big Hugs,

Kathy Jo
