Santa’s Little Helpers

December 5, 2018

Hi there, Marilyn here and today we’ll create a fun Santa’s little helpers Christmas card. Hopefully you have all or most of your cards done by now because Christmas is almost here. For me, it usually ends up that the closer we get to Christmas the fewer people will get handmade cards because I nearly always run short of time, and this year is no exception. The good thing with this card is that once the images were coloured, the remainder of the card worked up very quickly. Below are the steps I used to create it:

Step 1: Cut a 6” x 12” white cardstock; score and fold at 6” to create a side-fold card base. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 5.75” x 5.75”. Position and cut out 3 randomly placed holes on the patterned paper. Adhere to the card base.
Step 2: Cover the FRONT of a piece of white cardstock with Double Sided Transparent Tape. Die cut Ho Ho Ho once from the taped sheet and again from white cardstock that has tape on the BACK.
Step 3: Stamp images and cut around them using the Stitched Circles die that closely fits the images as shown below.
Step 4: Expose the adhesive on the die cut Ho Ho Ho and sprinkle Silvers Sand Microfine Glitter on top; brush off excess and return it to the jar, polish with a fingertip to bring out maximum sparkle.  Glue the glittered Ho Ho Ho die cut onto the plain one, offsetting them just a bit.
Step 5:  Colour the stamped images.
To assemble, place and glue the coloured circles into the cut out circles onto the patterned paper. Glue the Ho Ho Ho die cut in the lower right corner and your card is finished!

Thanks for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
