Hello everyone,
It’s Joset here today excited to be back as your guest designer. I would like to share with you this easy but fun card that I created using the Stitched and Fitted Stars dies. For the colored background of the card I used Distress Inks and the beautiful Soft Finish Cardstock. Let’s get started.
Instructions:
Step 1 – Cut a rectangle piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Use the non-textured side of the cardstock.
Step 2 – Stamp your sentiment somewhere on the bottom of your rectangle piece of cardstock using black ink.
Step 3 – Die cut different sized stars all over your rectangle piece. To create a nice lay-out, first die cut some stars from scrap pieces of cardstock and lay them out on your card front to see how it will look. Then die cut the stars from the front.
Step 4 – Once you’re done with your die cuts, cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half to create you card base. Make sure the textured side of the carstock is on the outside of the card.
Step 5 – Color the front of your card base with Distress Inks using the yellow color (Mustard Seed) at the top, orange (Spiced Marmalade) in the middle and the darker orange (Ripe Persimmon) at the bottom. To apply the ink, use a circular motion using a round Mini Ink Blending Tool.
Step 6 – Adhere your rectangle piece with star cut-outs to the front of your card base using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Step 7 – Place a few of your cut out stars in the center of some of the larger stars and adhere.
