Polar Bear Holiday Card

September 25, 2018

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here today. I can’t get enough of the new Character Dies from Joset Designs. They are super easy to assemble and put a smile on anyone who receives them on a card or project. Below you will find the steps to replicate this card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card.

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Apply Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide directly on the cardstock using an ink applicator. Softening it up as you get towards the bottom. To create snowflakes Option 1: splash water then dab it with a cloth. Let it dry completely before repeating this step until desired effect. Option 2: place a snowflake stencil (Snowstorm & Mounds) on top of the inked cardstock and apply Texture Paste Matte with a spatula. Carefully remove the stencil and let dry.

Step 3 – Die cut a rectangle using the Dashing Rectangles die set with the Background created from Step 2. Adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 4 – Stamp  the sentiment from Classic Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp set to the bottom of card front using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Step 5 – Die cut Polar Bear using Black Soft Finish Cardstock for eyes and nose, White Soft Finish Cardstock for the rest. You can ink the edges for shading. I used  Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Assemble all the pieces using Kids Choice Glue. Add the Polar bear to the card using Foam Tape.

Step 6 – Die cut the smallest present from the Santa’s Sleigh die set using ModaScrap Unconventional Christmas Patterned Paper. Adhere to the card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 7 – Optional – for added interest and sparkle adhere sequins.

This card can be used for a summer by changing the Polar Bear Color to brown. Below is a link to all the Elizabeth Craft Designs Products Used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
