Judi Kauffman is back with Part 2 of “One thing leads to another”!
Thanks for inviting me to be part of the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog again today, Joset.
Part 1 of One Thing Leads to Another was posted on August 30. As promised, here are instructions and a supply list for all projects shown in both Part 1 and Part 2.
The Basics:
Pick your favorite Elizabeth Craft Designs outline peel-offs, put them on white cardstock, and color inside the lines. Cut out the shapes staying as close as possible to the outline.
More Options:
*Color around the shapes on the outside of the peel-offs for a halo effect, enlarging the shapes and making them easier to cut out.
*Cut a rectangle and leave a white background.
*Add doodling with fine and medium nib pens (see supply list).
Projects:
Using the photos for ideas, layer the peel-offs onto embossed and sanded Shimmer Sheetz, patterned papers, solid color cardstock, or a combination of these. (All cards are simple side-fold format.)
Embellishments:
*Add a greeting (die cut Adhesive Velvet Sheets or peel-offs).
*Add border peel-offs, ribbon, or other linear elements.
*Add photo corners, brads, charms, or other low-relief components.
*Use foam squares or tape for added dimension.

Beautiful collection of cards Judi
Thanks, Frances. I really like working By the Batch method. I like the fact that so many of the peel-off sheets have enough elements to make several cards.
Love Part 2 also, EVERYTHING IS SO BEAUTIFUL……Now to get busy with all my supplies ! A few there I do not have yet, but most of them are going onto a card. THANKS SO MUCH…..LOVED THIS !
My biggest wish as a designer and teacher is to make projects that entice someone else to make his or her own version of those projects, so your comment means a lot to me. Glad you’re going to get busy with all your supplies!
Out standing love them all.
Thanks, Eunice. I loved making them.
Nice! So many beautiful cards and ideas!
Thanks, Mary. I felt the same way seeing the Design Team Asian Theme Challenge projects yesterday – so many beautiful cards and ideas!
Wonderful cards! I especially like how you used the backing from the Glitter Dots sheets – even more bang for your crafting supplies.
The leftovers from peel-off sheets are endlessly useful, that’s for sure. And I think we’re all looking for the best way to get the most value out of tools and supplies. I remove the background from Glitter Dots sheets at the start (makes it easier to pick up the individual Dots).
I love the hydrangea card … so pretty!!
Thanks, Candy. We didn’t have a single hydrangea in the garden this year because of the brutal winter so this card is the closest I’ve gotten to the real thing lately. Fortunately, I had some photos from years past to use for color reference.
Joset,
You have done an amazing job. All your cards are fabulous.
Blue Rose, Joset is the author of the blog and it is her photo that is posted so I guess it can get confusing, but I was the guest designer today and on August 30, so I’ll say thank you for the compliment since the cards are mine (not hers). Thank you!
I’m not a huge fan of peel offs but I will be rethinking after seeing these lovely cards.
Thanks, Liz. I’m all for simple and easy cards and these peel-offs make it both simple and easy.
