Hello my crafty friends, Christine here with another card I have designed using the Ultimate Glittered Napkin Technique. This technique is addicting, such fun and rewarding, and you will soon be looking at all napkins in a different way. I wish the glitter effect showed up better in photos as it really is sparkly.
Here is how it was created.
Step 1 Using Garden Notes Berry Branch 1 die set, cut 1 branch from brown cardstock. Use white Nuvo Crystal Drops to make the berries; set aside to dry.
Step 2 Die cut 3 poinsettias from White Soft Finish Cardstock using Garden Notes Poinsettia #1099 die set. Cut leaves from green cardstock. Shade and shape using Garden Notes PanPastels Set 1, 4 pc. Deluxe Tool Kit, Molding Mat and Leaf Mat.
Step 3 Using Garden Notes Pinecones and Boughs die set, cut several pine boughs from green cardstock. Shade & shape.
Step 4 Form a top-fold 6″ X 6″ card base from white cardstock.
Step 5 Cut black cardstock 6″ X 6″ using next to largest die in Garden Notes Stitched Frame It – Square die set cut out center to form frame. Set aside square cut from center for use on another project.
Step 6 Choose a napkin for background, separate printed layer from white layer(s). Napkins typically have either 1 or 2 white layers, only the printed top layer is needed. Cut a white cardstock 5-3/4″ x 5-3/4″ square that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the front. Slowly and carefully adhere napkin (right side up) to cardstock removing protective covering from adhesive a little at a time. Once completely adhered press into VersaMark Ink to completely cover the napkin. Add clear glitter embossing powder over entire surface. If you don’t have clear glitter embossing powder add Silk Microfine Glitter – Cool Diamond to the clear powder. Heat set with heat tool. When cooled, die cut a circle in the center using the 4th smallest die in Garden Notes Stitched Frame It – Circles. Set the circle cutout aside to use on another card. Adhere glittered napkin piece to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
Step 7 Using black ink, stamp Noel inside circle using stamp from the Classic Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp set.
Step 8 Adhere black frame to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.
Step 9 Add Pine Boughs, Berry Branches (cut apart to make smaller pieces as needed) then build three Poinsettias using Kids Choice Glue.
I so hope that you have enjoyed this tutorial today and will make your own card. For any of the Elizabeth Craft Designs products used in this card just click on its picture below which will take you directly to that item.
