A Way With Words Joset Designs Soft Finish Cardstock

Miss You with Pretty Flowers and Hexagons!

June 8, 2018

Hi, Kelly Booth here with a card using the New Miss You, by Suzanne Cannon and Flowers and Hexagons just released by Susan’s Garden and Joset Designs! I often need a card to send to a friend telling them I miss them as many of my friends live far away!

To create this card you will need the following: 2 sheets of 100lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, one 5″.5″ x 8″.5″ piece of  Whisper Blue Soft Finish Cardstock, an 8″.5″ x 5″.5″ piece of bright yellow cardstock and a piece the same size in a light blue (For underside of Miss You) You will need Susan’s Garden Tools, leaf pad and molding pad. Some Yellow Pollen and Black Prills and Kids Choice Glue. Stitched Hexagons, Shasta Daisy, Forget Me Not, Miss You and Bugs and Butterflies Die sets.

Step 1 – Cut the Following pieces shown below from your card stock.

Step 2 – Cut a Piece of your White Soft Finish card stock 11″ x 5″.5″ score at 5″.5″ creating a top fold card texture out. Place pieces of foam tape on the back side of your hexagons remove the backing and center and place the Blue one on the front of your card and then place the yellow one in the center.

Step 3 – Take a toothpick and some Kids Choice Glue and adhere all the Blue “Miss You’s” together then place the white one on top. Adhere this to the bottom of your Hexagon card front by adding a little glue to each side of the Miss You leaving the center to rest in the Hexagon’s.

Step 4 – Color and mold the flowers like Susan shows in her Video HERE.  I have included some photo’s of my process below.

Step 5 – Once the flowers are finished place a little Kids Choice Glue on the back and place onto the card by tucking the stems under the miss you and pressing down.

Step 6 – Last but not least die cut a ladybug from the Bugs and Butterflies set color it red and add the black accents. place it face down onto your molding pad and with your ball stylis rollout around giving the lady bug its shape. place rounded dot on one of your leaves and using your tweezers place the lady bug over the glue. Take a little Nuvo Crystal Drops and place a little on top of my ladybug giving it the shine they have in nature.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial today and it will inspire you to make a miss you card for a special friend.  Thank you for stopping by the Elizabeth Craft Designs today and have a wonderful day!
