Merry Christmas Tree

Hi! It’s Candy, back with another idea for holiday cards. For me, Christmas decor is all about the tree. I love everything about the Christmas tree and the ornaments so I made this card with the tree standing front and center. Here’s how I created it:

1. Cut 2 green panels and one red panel using the Accordion Oval Card die.

2. Connect the three panels by adding some Elizabeth’s Double Sided Tape to the long side tabs. Snip off the smaller tabs around the center ovals.

3. Cut out two smaller ovals in red and one smaller oval in green using the oval accessory die. Adhere ovals to panels as shown.

4. Cut out Oval Flourish Frame Edges from Ivory and adhere to first and third panels.

5. Cut out two Holly Border dies. Use glue pen to adhere one to the oval. Trim off the edges so it fits perfectly. Repeat as shown. Add Red Glitter Dots in place of berries.

6. Adhere a piece of Elizabeth’s Transparent Double Sided Tape Sheet to white cardstock large enough to fit tree peel-off. Remove release sheet and place it upside down in front of you. Place peel-off sticky side up on your release sheet, then place white cardstock with adhesive side facing down on top. Turn over, remove release sheet and cover adhesive with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Polish and brush of excess glitter. Color with alcohol markers. Add Red and Gold Glitter Dots wherever there are circles on the tree garland (larger red Dots where there are larger circles, smaller gold ones where there are smaller circles). Fussy cut around the tree and stand. Adhere tree to center oval using foam tape for added dimension.

7. Stamp sentiment in black on first panel.

8. Cut out Merry Christmas from black cardstock and adhere to third panel.

9. Cut out four pointed corners from Tags & More 2 – Deco and adhere to corners of center panel.

10. Fold panels – first a mountain fold and then a valley fold.

Yet another great look from the Accordion dies by not attaching the tabs together – a “Z” fold card!
