A Way With Words

“May We All Walk In Peace”

September 1, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I would like to share a golden kindness card.  This card would be perfect to give to someone special as a sign of appreciation.  It was created using Suzanne Cannon’s beautiful “May we all walk in kindness” calligraphy stamp and the Leaf Snowflake stencil.  Let’s dive in!

Instructions:

Step 1 – Create a top-fold 4.25 x 5.5 card from Kraft cardstock.

Step 2 – Cut gold cardstock smaller than card front.  Set aside.

Step 3 – Die cut ivory patterned paper using Stitched Rectangle die.

Step 4 – Use black archival ink to stamp quote onto top right corner.

Step 5 – Dab desired paint to bottom left corner (optional).

Step 6 – Cut white vellum to 4.25 wide and approximately 4.25 high.  Place stencil over vellum and apply VersaMark (watermark) inkpad to leaf openings.  Remove stencil and emboss vellum using gold embossing powder.  Tear vellum.  Clean stencil.

Step 7 – Determine desired location of ribbon wrap.  Apply liquid adhesive on the underside of the vellum in the location of the ribbon.  Apply liquid adhesive to underside of leaves.  Mount to die cut from step 3.

Step 8 – Adhere patterned paper/vellum to gold cardstock (from step 2) using double-sided foam tape.  Wrap ribbon.  Adhere to card front using double-sided adhesive tape.

Step 9 – Create triple bow and mount to card front as shown.

Step 10 – Decorate inside of card as desired.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a happy, crafty day.

Big Hugs,

Kathy Jo
