Cardmaking Joset Designs Silk Microfine Glitter

I Love You

September 26, 2019

Hello Samantha here – today I am sharing a card I created using Joset’s Geometric Background die. I had recently used this die to create a simple background for a Halloween card. I wasn’t looking for any particular shape but when I saw the heart I knew I had my next card idea!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: On black cardstock, die cut the Geometric Background die.

Step 2: Remove all the negative pieces and adhere the Geometric backgound to black cardsock.

Step 3: Adhere Double Sided Adhesive to the back of pink card stock.

Step 4: Die cut the Geometric Background die.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 with pattern paper and speciality cardstock.

Step 6: Use the negative pieces to fill in the heart shape.

TIP: Mark areas on of the Geometric heart to note which pieces will have Silk Microfine Glitter.

Step 7: Adhere Double Sided Adhesive to the front of black card stock. Die-cut the Geometric Background then remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer of the negative pieces marked in the image above.

Step 8: Apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (in Fruchsia) to the selected pieces. Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle. Adhere these pieces into their negative spots.

Step 9: Heat Emboss the sentiment.

Step 10: Optional: Add machine stitched details. Adhere card front to an A6 card base. Embellish card with a twine bow and sequins.

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
