Have A Magical Day Card

July 10, 2019

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Today’s card features the super adorable Parrot Die from Joset Designs. I used Alcohol Markers to color him to add shading and dimension. Below you will find the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2 size)

Step 2 – Diecut Garden Notes Frame-It Stitched Rectangles and Dashing Rectangles using Patterned Paper to create a Pop-Up Frame. Trim Solid Patterned Paper a little larger than the diecut Frame created (about 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″). Adhere the trimmed Patterned Paper to the front of the card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Adhere the Frame using Foam Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Parrot using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Color in each piece using Alcohol Markers. I used Tri-Blends. (or you can diecut using colored cardstock) Assemble the parrot using Kid’s Choice Glue. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 4 – Stamp Build Your Own Sentiment (I used Have A Magical Day) using Versamark Ink on the same Patterned Paper that I used for inside my frame. Sprinkle some Black Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Diecut Stitched Fishtail Banners using the sentiment created. After you pass it in the die take out the diecut and turn it around and diecut again. This will create a fishtail on both ends. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.

Step 5 – Optional – For added interest and sparkle adhere clear gems randomly to the front of card.

This card can be used for lots of occasions by changing the patterned paper, colors and sentiment. Below is a link to all the products used. Have a wonderful day and see you again soon.
