Flower Power!

May 25, 2018

Hi crafters!

It’s Sara here, and I have a super spring-y card. I would like to take a moment to tell you that your dies have multiple uses. For example, the die I used for the card base is the Snowglobe Scene die.

Here are the steps to create this fun card:

Step 1 – Choose a palette of colors. Die cut the flower and leaf pieces and the background for the globe from white cardstock; die cut the front of the globe from Kraft brown cardstock; die cut the word ‘friends’ from cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front. Color with medium of choice. (To color as shown, use watercolors.)

Step 2 – Prepare the back of the Kraft brown piece as follows: Adhere acetate to form a window. Then apply two layers of double sided foam tape. Turn the piece face down and put the sequins inside the ‘cup’ formed by the tape. Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive on the back piece of foam and add the watercolored white piece. to complete the globe. Tip: Be careful when adding the sequins so they don’t stick to the foam adhesive.

Step 3 – Remove the release sheet from the front of the word ‘friends’ and cover with Rust Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off excess and return to the jar. Polish glitter into the adhesive with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle. Tip: For more dimension and stability, die cut 2 or 3 extra layers for the sentiment and glue them one on to of the other.

Step 4 – Arrange and adhere all of the elements as shown.

I hope that you like this project and try to use your dies in a different way!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sara
