Elegant Eggs for Easter

Hi, it’s Candy! It’s almost Easter and I love Easter eggs. They provide a blank canvas with so many possibilities. For these eggs, I started by painting paper-mache eggs. You can see how I did it here but you could use colorful plastic eggs or eggs made from glass or plastic. Get the kids involved and have fun!

1. For the base: Place the bottom of the grass die (from the Outdoor Edges set) 1/4″ from the bottom of the cardstock and die cut.

2. Add a small strip of Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive to one edge as shown above, roll and adhere to the other end.

Eggs_Candy_Spiegel33. For egg 1 (in front): Apply a strip of Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive to go around the egg as shown above. Coat with Silk Microfine Glitter in a color of your choice. (Shown: Fire Opal). Polish and wipe off excess.

4. Die cut small flowers from the Bunch of Flowers die out of white cardstock. Ink with red ink as desired. Adhere to egg.

5. Add a Glitter Dot in a color of your choice to the center of each flower. (Shown: Gold/Silver).

Eggs_Candy_Spiegel46. For eggs 2 & 3 (in background): Adhere Glitter Flowers to the eggs in a color of your choice. (Shown: Transparent/Gold.)

Eggs – plastic, wood, glass or paper-mache

Green and white cardstock

    The grassy border egg stands are perfect, Candy, and there are so many possibilities for the eggs. Great project in every way!
