I would like to give a comment on today’s blog post “You Fill My Heart” of the Designer Challenge.
But I can’t. Is it possible that there are only 94 comments possible and not more? It is only 5 hours after receiving the email about it.
You all made awesome cards, funny, romantic, modern, love them all!
FYI I would use the Puzzle Heart die, the Valentine Edges die set and the Love Sentiments clear stamp set.
Too bad I can not write my comment on the blog.

  • Erin Mckenzie-christensen December 14, 2017 at 1:58 am

Hi to anyone having issues i have in the past had the same issues the thing that fixed it for me after multiple comments and emails was to clear the cache
I no computer whiz and have no idea how to do this on a mobile phone or tablet but on a computer (Windows 10) i use a program called CCleaner it is free u download and install the program and it clears the cache be aware it will delete whatever is ticked (u cam choose) eg history for your browser the cache recycle bin etc and u can also do a clean and then check it and then delete it.

Please know im not a computer person just that when i did that it resolved this issue i had it for months!!

So if it doesn’t work i have no idea but maybe worth a go oh and just a warning if you have items saved in a shopping cart online buy the stuff before u use ccleaner cos it may delete whats in the cart this also happened to me!!!

    Hope this may help

Still not able to leave a comment on the December Susan’s Garden Challenge blog post. I have used 3 different browsers and two different computer but when I scroll to the bottom it indicates 101 comments, but there is no box to leave my comment. I am able to leave comments on all posts except for that one. I’m so frustrated and can’t figure out what the problem is…so I’ll leave my comment here and hope that you can add it. Thanks.
I would love to add the wooden fruit crate and berry branch dies to my stash. The design team projects are just so beautiful!

  • Cindy Nalder December 12, 2017 at 10:45 pm

I would love Garden Notes “Love In A Mist” for Christmas. I hope this is how I enter the contest. Can’t find any other way to comment

I love the black-eyed susan card in the crate the best.
My best friend favorite flower is the sun flower and these
remind me of them. Always looking for new creative cards
to make for her. So beautiful! I also like the berry branch card.

  • JUDI GOBELI November 14, 2017 at 10:32 pm

At the very top of my WISH LIST is GARDEN NOTES DAHLIA 2; and if I get another WISH , it will be MAIDENHAIR FERN.
I LOVE how the “DAHLIA is so versatile , to me it looks like a rose.

  • MARGARET HANDLEY November 11, 2017 at 11:01 am

I love all your designs and have bought more than my share of your stickers and micro glitter. However, with the order that I just placed on your site, I tried o purchase the 1095 Flourish Gift Frame. But when I checked out, I was informed that this product is “out of stock”. This is the product I REALLY wanted and can’t find it offered anywhere else. Is it going to be available some time in the future or is it no longer being manufactured? Believe me, I have looked on every site I can think of that sells your products including Amazon, Overstock and eBay and it simply isn’t available anywhere else.

Please let me know if you do happen to find one in stock there that I can buy, been used.

    Thank you,
    Margaret A Handley

  • Bobbie Lathrop October 17, 2017 at 5:02 pm

Wow I’m trying to figure out how to leave a comment on the designer challenge and am not able to anywhere. I’ve never won on anything and really love this blog, Elizabeth Crafts are my favorite of all time. If there’s a way to add this comment to the christmas challenge then my favorite thing to make during the holidays are cards of all sorts far and foremost and second are awesome decorations to surprise my grand babies.

    • Mitzi October 18, 2017 at 8:11 am

I’m another who cannot leave a comment. Seems it’s time something is changed on the Elizabeth Craft site to make it fair to everyone. I have also tried to do this on two different computers but only see “207 comments” and one comment shows up.

  • Diane Lynne Clemen September 21, 2017 at 5:49 pm

Count me in with all the rest of the bloggers having a problem leaving a comment. I have read your suggestions for them and have tried them but none work. Here is what I do not understand, I can see this comment box why cannot I see the other one.
Please add my comment to the giveaway.
I like to make Halloween cards with witches flying on their broomsticks. I have used glow in the dark paint on the moon and placed the witch on the moon to make it look like she is flying through the night. The paint was a HUGE success last year. I have the haunted house die and may use the glow in the dark paint on the windows this year.

  • Karen Erickson September 20, 2017 at 9:16 pm

I’m also having a difficult time making comments on the blogs of the blog page!!
I do like the haunted house with the pumpkins, witches and ghosts!

    • Frances Byrne September 20, 2017 at 10:51 pm

Sorry Karen that you are also having issues. The comment box is right down at the very end of the blog post. If you still can’t find it once you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the post, maybe you could try accessing the post using a different browser or even a different device and see if that solves your problems. Good luck.

  • karenladd September 19, 2017 at 11:39 pm

I have been trying to leave a comment on the September Designers Challenge all evening but can never find a comment spot. I had the same trouble in July and August and don’t know how I can enter. In the meantime, I am hoping that my entry will be added from here. My favorite products to use for Halloween cards are stamps and dies. I have a number of spooky and cute stamps that I love to use for Halloween cards, gift bags and decorations. My granddaughter was born on Halloween so we love decorating at our house!

    • Frances Byrne September 20, 2017 at 12:13 am

Hi Karen, sorry you are having trouble commenting on the Designer Challenge post. If you have the blog post open in your browser, you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page (past all the comments and there should be a box there to type in your message. Sounds like you have lots of fun on Halloween.

      • karenladd September 20, 2017 at 2:18 pm

Thank you for your reply Frances. I have scrolled all the way down and there is no box for a message. It indicates that there are 134 comments but I cannot see any of them. No matter where I click, it does not allow a message, and there is no comment box. I know that many others are having the same problem so am not sure how to work around it. I have scrolled completely to the bottom of the post , past the product links and where it indicates 134 comments. Comments are not visible, nor is there a comment box. Is there another way to comment and enter? Thanks for your assistance.

        • Frances Byrne September 20, 2017 at 10:49 pm

Sorry you are still having problems. Sometimes it could be the browser you are using that is causing problems. If you have access to another browser or try from another device and see if that fixes your issues.

          • karenladd September 21, 2017 at 12:04 pm

Thanks for your suggestions. I have tried 3 different browser and two different devices but the problem is the same. I appreciate your help but it just doesn’t look like it’s going to work for me.

  • Michel Espey September 19, 2017 at 8:08 pm

I can’t find where to leave a comment on the Designer challenge blog post for September 19, 2017. I would use dark colors for background. Stamps to create the scene. Maybe some glitter. Love all the inspiration.

Hi Michel, sorry you are having trouble commenting on the Designer Challenge post. If you have the blog post open in your browser, you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page (past all the comments and there should be a box there to type in your message.

Michel, have you been able to leave a reply now? I still cannot. I can’t find the comment box at all at the bottom of the page. It is only blank, with an indication of the number of comments left but I cannot see the comments.

I have made Calendars, Boxed Note Cards, Sets of All Occasion Cards, Cross Stitched Table Cloths and Pictures, PJs, Clocks, Cross Stitched Christmas Stockings, and Journals.

  • Theressa C. Hudspeth August 15, 2017 at 7:18 am

Hi, sorry to use this forum but couldn’t figure out how to reply to the post for the gift card.

What I make for Christmas and birthdays is very fitting and extravagant cards appropriate to the occasion. We RV in the winter so I generally make cards for Halloween and Christmas for everyone and then special cards for birthdays. I usually add a gift card so find an unusually way to present the gift card within my card. I find it to be fun and challenging to come up with a card that is specific to each person as opposed to giving the same card to everyone.

  • Crystal Francis June 23, 2017 at 7:44 pm

I was just at the Chantilly Scrapbook Convention and purchased dies from your booth. Please contact me.

Trying to leave a comment for the August Challenge Post, it wouldn’t let me leave a comment so I seen everyone posting here so here I am. I hope this qualifies, my favorite Elizabeth Craft Design die that reminds me of home is the English Cottage -2.

  • Darlene Pavlick June 8, 2017 at 8:23 am

I was trying to leave a comment on the June challenge post but it won’t give me the block to do so … oh well I guess. I am having difficulty making comments on the blog for some reason its mostly on the challenges where there is a prize often i hae found i can comment on the blog of a older post i can see there are many comments saying the same thing? is there anything else being done about this? I have sent emails and been told you are trying to fix it but its frustrating as i cannot try to win the prizes (though i know chance is low you cant win if you dont try and also i love reading other peoples ideas!!! but i cant even see the comments i can see a comment button but no comments….

  • Dawn Skene May 4, 2017 at 10:50 am

I couldn’t seem to leave a comment on the blog. I like to make a background and then layer the negative die cut on top.

  • Debbie Winkler April 5, 2017 at 1:12 pm

For the 2nd month your website will not let me leave a comment? I’m trying to leave a comment for the Microfine glitter challanage? It just says “Conflict”

    • Kaitlin Parker April 6, 2017 at 10:13 am

Hi Debbie! Looks like your comment went through on our end, no worries!

  • Diane Lynne Clemen April 5, 2017 at 11:16 am

This is the second week I have not been able to put a comment on the blog. Does this happen after 143 comments ’cause that was the comment number last week when i tried. Anyway my favorite Silk Microfine Glitter technique is using Elizabeth Craft Designs adhesive and Peel off stickers. Els has some great YouTube tutorials on this technique.

    • Erin McKenzie-Christensen May 6, 2017 at 12:55 am

I am also having difficulty writing comments on the blog too i have no idea about the numbers but for me there was under 100 comments…

  • Michele Wright April 5, 2017 at 10:20 am

I like the others could not find a comment icon. I love using the positive and the negative for die cuts using the double sided adhesive.

  • Lucy Schmidt April 4, 2017 at 3:56 pm

I’m having the same trouble others have had in the past. I’m unable to comment on the 4/4/17 post. I tried a different browser, clicked the link in the email to comment and another to see comments. Am I missing something? All I can see is one comment at the bottom from “Aleacia.” If it makes a difference, my favorite technique is one Els demonstrated on YT, using an open design die-cut piece of paper over cardstock covered in ECD double-sided sheets of paper, then applying the microfine glitter and rubbing it in.

  • Shaaron Chambers March 23, 2017 at 11:28 am

I so love your site and have many items from your company and I love all of them. Making my own cards is not only therapeutic for me but my family and friends just love having a personally made card from me. Your site is just so inspiring.
My favorite flower, which is my birthday month flower is the Carnation. I love how long they last and it is so much fun to put white ones in colored water and see the edges of the flowers turn that color. I like mixing the miniature carnations with the large ones. Thank you for all you do for us crafty gals.

  • Jonna C. March 21, 2017 at 9:38 pm

I can’t comment on the blog! Something messed up there? Anyway, I don’t know if it is a springtime flower or not but my favoritd flower is the clematis! Especially the dark purple one! Would mske a beautiful die.

  • Elizabeth Hadesty March 21, 2017 at 9:27 pm

My favorite Spring time flower is the Tulip.
    I

  • Frances Haddock March 21, 2017 at 8:43 pm

Tulips have always been my favorite, but daffodils have taken first place lately. I guess since they are the first to bloom in my yard, I like the fact that they seem to be announcing that Spring is right around the corner

  • Doris Moore March 21, 2017 at 8:03 pm

This giveaway is AMAZING!!! Great tutorial 🙂
Favorite spring time flower, that’s easy, I Love the crocus!!!! They are so sweet. When I see a little spike of green coming thru the dirt, I know that there really is hope, beautiful weather is on its way!!! 🙂
I feel so bad for these little flowers because they get tricked into thinking it’s spring, then a snow shower will come and kill them ?
I think the yellow ones are my favorite, but I do Love them ALL! LOL, I know, I’m weird… what can I say.

    Thank you
    Doris

    • Doris Moore March 21, 2017 at 8:08 pm

I hope this is where I post for the giveaway, I tried on the page with all the beautiful flower stamps, but it wouldn’t let me??…
      Thanks,
      Doris

  • Pauline Bell March 21, 2017 at 7:24 pm

I love to see the Crocus come up as they are the first ones most of the time. Sometimes they come up through the snow and are such a welcome sight giving us hope that spring is really here.

  • Suzi Fohringer March 21, 2017 at 6:51 pm

I have been trying to comment for the challenge today and cannot get to a space to do so. Any others having any problems? 3/21/2017

  • Anneke Schep March 21, 2017 at 5:21 pm

Hi, Like others have mentioned above I can not seem to give a comment and leave my favorite Spring flower.
It is an awesome giveaway and I will try it a bit later again. I hope the problem is solved by then.

    Just in case:
My favorite spring flower is the Snowdrop (in Dutch sneeuwklokje). I have not seen those here in Ohio but I was told they do grow around here.
I also would like you to know the cards in todays blog are fabulous, I am glad you didn’t ask us to pick our favorite because I would have a hard time doing that.

  • Judy Sander March 21, 2017 at 3:39 pm

Love all the pretty flower cards. My favorite springtime flower is the Tulip!! All colors.

  • Patricia Howarth March 21, 2017 at 12:38 pm

  • Marjorie Briggs March 8, 2017 at 8:37 pm

  • sueellen krack February 24, 2017 at 1:07 pm

I need to talk to Frances. I like a card you made that had a bathtub,in it. It also had a washstand, mirror, and a bath brush. You said that they were Cottage cuts. My efforts showed me that they are retired. Are they stamps or dies? Please contact me at sekrack@yahoo .com

  • Rhea Ollett February 7, 2017 at 8:15 pm

Hi there. I am trying to leave a comment on the blog ” Die Cut Design Team Designer Challenge – February” and am unable to do so.

I would like to suggest a couple of different die cut design ideas — one with entwined and/or beaded ovals, circles, etc.

The other suggestions I would like to make is to design using fences.

I would appreciate this being added to the contest. Thanks

  • Bonnie Miller December 31, 2016 at 7:36 pm

After 10 years I got back into card making. Soooooo much has changed. I saw Else work but was intimidated until I got back into the groove. I now what to know how to use the double sided adhesive paper, the stickers with glitter, the shimmer sheets and more but I cannot find the basic tutorial. They all assume you know how to sand a card or use the adhesive paper. I need to start from the basics to get a good foundation. I love Elle’s work a well as Josey. Please help. I have sent several requests to no avail.

    • Frances Byrne January 9, 2017 at 4:20 pm

Bonnie so glad you have gotten back into card making. You can find out all you need to know about our Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape; Peel Off Stickers; Shimmer Sheetz; Silk Microfine Glitter and more over on our You Tube Challenge, https://www.youtube.com/user/ecraftdesigns. Make sure you also subscribe to our Technique Friday video where you will also receive a new video every week showing you a different technique using our products.

  • Erin Mckenzie-Christensen October 16, 2016 at 11:22 pm

Hi Els and everyone I actually have a question about your blog.

I love receiving and following all your blog posts as it gives me a lot of ideas as to what I can do with all your products. However today I was looking at the archives/tags for older posts and I have noticed that the posts from about april 2015 no longer have any pictures at all. Is there a reason for this? Do you take them down? its just that without the pictures the instructions are not enough for me anyways!
Is there a way to view the older posts?

    thanks
    from erin

    • Erin Mckenzie-Christensen October 16, 2016 at 11:25 pm

Sorry in the above post it was meant to say april 2016 not 2015 but everything from april 2016 and prior has no pictures at all

  • Rhea Ollett September 18, 2016 at 1:55 am

Hi. I live near Calgary, Alberta, Canada and have been wondering where to get the Beacon Kids glue that is suggested for Susan’s Garden dies. Is there anything else that might work instead? The little bit I did (using the hollyhock die) with other glue didn’t work as well, as it took too long for the glue to dry. I assume that I need a glue that sticks together quickly so that the little pieces don’t come off when you place the next piece on. Any comments, suggestions?

    • Elizabeth Craft Designs September 20, 2016 at 8:46 am

Helle Rhea, try Paper Pastimes in Calgary. They are located on Fairmount Dr. SE. You can find them online. I would give them a call first to see if they carry the glue. However it is a lovely store to visit as well even if they don’t have the glue. Regards, the ECD team

  • Joset van de Burgt May 22, 2016 at 2:14 pm

Hello Jo Ann Disalvo. You can transfer the leftover pieces with transfer sheet. You can watch this technique in the following YouTube video. You don’t have to waste anything! 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjeCx44U5vE&index=21&list=PLCP2iiaN5icD8Wy8fRlCwO430shaWLp8F

  • Jo Ann DiSalvo May 22, 2016 at 1:42 pm

I bought the cupcake peel off stickers and love them. I know this is probably a silly question, but what do you do with the part that is left on the sheet?

  • Bethann d November 25, 2015 at 9:54 am

I don’t know if there is anything you can do about this but I find the blogs very hard to read due to small type, my inability to enlarge the view on my tablet. I know I am missing great stuff

  • Judy Adamson October 27, 2015 at 8:47 am

  • Joyce Newton April 16, 2015 at 7:56 am

Hi, I am getting ready to purchase some of the Susan Garden flower dies. I have been watching her you tube videos and was wondering if you can tell me about the jars of pollen she uses. Are they available from Elizabeth crafts? Thanks in advance for your help.

    • Elizabeth Craft Designs April 16, 2015 at 4:45 pm

Hello Joyce, Thank you for your message. Susan uses paper flower pollen. Unfortunately we don’t carry these pollen but they are available through Woodland Scenics. This is their website: http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/category/WSPollen. Kind Regards, Joset van de Burgt – Elizabeth Craft Designs

  • Carole Anderson March 23, 2015 at 11:07 am

  • storky46 September 24, 2014 at 8:43 am

Hi Els, I am in love with Elizabeth Craft Design products! Can’t seem to stop making cards with all the wonderful products and possibilities. My question is, do you have a place we can upload cards we have made to share ideas with others?

  • Jamie September 8, 2014 at 3:24 pm

What is the best way to store dies?

    • Joset van de Burgt September 8, 2014 at 3:38 pm

Hello Jamie, Thank you for your question. The best ways to store dies is flat. They sell special boxes that have magnetic plates where you can stick your dies to. Some people also use plastic envelopes.

  • Irene Isbell August 30, 2014 at 11:06 am

I Love all your thing. but I saw you useing bottle for glue. Are you going to sell it . Or can you give me the place where you got it. thank you

      Thank you for your question.

We do not sell the glue but perhaps your local craft store might sell it. I know that Karen has 2 favorite glues which are the 20 gauge Fineline bottles from Scotch (Quick Dry Adhesive) and Helmar (Professional Acid Free glue).

Please let me know wit there is anything else I can help you with.

      Kind Regard,

      Joset van de Burgt

Love the Blog, I don’t see postings for July 28th and July 29th??

    • Joset van de Burgt July 30, 2014 at 4:23 am

      Hello Nancy,

That is correct. We try to post each day but some days we don’t have a post. We do always post a project on our Facebook page each day although they don’t include the step by step instructions. Next post for this month is July 30th and the Designer Challenge post on the 31st.

Hello, I love all the new dies. I don’t know which ones to order first!!!! I do have a question about the stand up helper dies. Is there a die for making the stand up cards or are they just made from folding a specific way? Thank you. Kelley Robbins

    • Joset van de Burgt July 3, 2014 at 8:13 am

Hello Kelley, Thank you for your question. There are dies that cut the stand up helper. We have 2 sets of image stand up helpers (Stand Up Helpers Set 1 and 2 – #792 and #930 in our collection) and then we also have the Word Stand Up Helpers dies that we just released. The following You Tube Video by Els will show you how they work. The word stand up helpers will work the same way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb4KV5_f9l0&list=UUBtf0eTeqF5p3mSC4yQGurA

Hi. Els! I am STUNNED by a card you made using the Lotus Flower and coloring with Sakura pens.Your comment is that it is one of your favorite cards. I can understand why. There is a kind of double image on it. Can you give any details about it? Was there a video made back in Dec. 2011 for it? It’s just absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing your unbelievable talent.
    Beth

Hello Alice, Sorry for the late reply. I only just noticed your comment now. The Daisy die comes with a silhouette and a overlay die. Here is a link to the die so you can have a look: http://www.ecraftdesigns.com/collections/dies/products/daisy. For future if you have a question about a specific project, it is best to leave a comment there instead of under contact. We can then answer your question. Hope this helps, Joset

For the velvet daisy card, he instructions say she uses a silhouette to cut the daisy, but the supplies say daisy die. Which is it?

    Karen,
I love your new house die. Can’t wait to get one

  • Els van de Burgt April 4, 2014 at 12:35 pm

Kathy, sorry, I never had that problem. It should always come off from the backing because the backings are both non stick. The side that you can not get off is the brown backing?

  • Kathy March 26, 2014 at 8:43 pm

Els, I am having trouble with the sookwang tape. I have had this tape a couple of years, could that be the problem? I can get the side that says sookwang off to show the sticky part, but I CANNOT get the other side off. Any suggestions?

  • Amanda March 26, 2014 at 2:27 pm

    Hello Els,
You recently took us through classes at Spreyton in Tasmania. I so enjoyed your demos. I have just started to play with my shimmer sheets – Black Iris to try your transfer technique. I have had no end of trouble and have not had any luck with transferring. First I did it on the actual adhesive and I couldn’t get the transfer sheet off as the adhesive didn’t stay on it’s backing, then finally got it off but no transfer on the adhesive.

I then tried to put the adhesive (your double sided adhesive sheets) on to white paper but again, when I had adhered the embossed shimmer sheetz to the adhesive now stationed on the white paper, when I tried to pull away the shimmer sheetz after burnishing with a brayer, it pulled off the adhesive and paper with it.

    What am I doing wrong?

    • Els van de Burgt April 4, 2014 at 12:33 pm

Amanda, Joset and myself had a great time in Tasmania! About the question. You need to put the tape on card stock first. 99% Of everything I do with the tape I do stick it to white card stock first.
All the Iris Shimmer Sheetz leave behind the color that they are except for the black. The black leaves behind a white coating so you don’t see it that well but then when you sprinkle colored glitter or even the Diamond you will see the design. You can only take of the coat one time so you can only use a piece one time on one side and one time on the other side. Let me know if this helps.

if you are in the torrance, ca (20 mins from LAX) area, is there a way we can get you to teach a class or two? Our store name is Scrampers and I coordinate the classes for the store and owner.
