Christmas Stamp Collection: Baby It’s Cold Outside

December 8, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you still working on your holiday cards?  I have a card today that is easy to make and has beautiful results.  The card features stamps from the lovely Christmas Collection stamp set by Suzanne Cannon.  The set contains so many sweet and timeless stamps that can be used this year and in years to come.  Let’s dive into the instructions!

Card instructions:

Step 1 – Create a top-fold 4.25 x 5.5 (A2) card base from black cardstock.

Step 2 – Cut a piece of wood grain patterned paper smaller that the card front.  Apply VersaMark to the three snowflakes from the Christmas Collection and randomly stamp onto wood grain paper.  Heat emboss using white embossing powder.  Adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Use black ink to stamp “Baby it’s cold outside” onto white cardstock.  Die cut using Stitched Ovals die.

Step 4 – Die cut red metallic paper using Dotted Scallop Ovals die.  Mount to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 5 – Mount quote (from Step 3) to red die cut using double-sided foam tape.

Step 6 – Inside of card:  Cut white card stock to 4 x 5.25.  Use black ink to stamp Merry Christmas.  Mount to inside of card using double-sided adhesive tape.

Step 7 – Apply strip of wood grain patterned paper using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 8 – Return to card front: Create double-loop bow from black and red ribbon and mount as shown using liquid adhesive or a snippet cut from a Tombow Xtreme Adhesive Tab.

Step 9 – Adhere gems to snowflake centers.  Add embellishment (gem or button with shank removed) to center of bow.

Isn’t it a happy card?  I really like the cozy feel to it and the calligraphy makes it a timeless treasure!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a happy, crafty weekend.

Big hugs,

Kathy Jo
