Christmas Card with Berries and Ornaments

October 26, 2017

Hello to all !!!

I hope you all are having a very good time creating beautiful projects for Christmas. This is Anita here with another project to inspire you.

Elizabeth Craft Designs has an array of beautiful dies to help you decorate your projects . You can check them all out on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website.

For today,  I have created a card with glittery berry branches and golden hanging ornaments.

Follow these steps to make this card.

Step 1 – Create a  6″ x 6″ card base from white cardstock.

Step 2 – Cut another piece 5.5  x 5.5″ from white card stock and sponge on Worn Lipstick and Fossized Amber Distress Oxide inks. Adhere on top of  the card front.

Step 3 – Using the Beautiful Baubles die set, die cut the solid and overlay pieces of the ornaments. Colour the base of the ornaments with red copic markers.

Step 4 – Apply embossing ink over the top of the overlay portion of the ornaments cover with gold embossing powder. Heat set and repeat this three times to each ornament so that the embossing is nice and thick.

Step 5 – Apply adhesive to the back of the overlay piece of the ornament  and adhere to the ornament base.

Step 6 – Die cut two branches using the Berry Branch die set from brown cardstock. Apply Kids Choice Glue to the berries and add some green glitter balls. Let it dry and adhere on the top of the card.

Step 7 – Using the Stitched Squares die set, die cut a frame which is smaller than the piece cut in step 2 from white cardstock.

Step 8 – Using the Christmas Tree die set, die cut stars from white cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front. Cover the stars with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter. Add the stars to the background using the frame die cut in step 7 as a guide for placement. Refer to photo above.

Step 9 – Adhere the branches to the card base referring to photo above for placement.

Step 10 – Attach die cut square frame to front of card.

Step 11 – Adhere ornaments to card so that the two outer ornaments will overlap the square frame.

Step 12 – Using the Holiday Cheer Clear Stamp set, stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock using black ink. Die cut sentiment using one of the label dies from the Labels 1 die set.  Apply adhesive around the edge of the label and dip into Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter for a glittery border. Adhere to front of card using foam tape.
