Bucket of Daisies

June 12, 2018

Hello My Crafty Friends,

It is my turn to share a creation on the blog so I have chosen some of  the dies from Susan’s Garden Notes newest release, the Shasta Daisy, Galvanized Bucket and Frame It – Ovals along with older releases Ivy and Ostrich Fern.

Here is how it was done.

Step 1 – Card base 5-1/4″ X 6-1/4″ cut colored cardstock 10-1/2″ X 6-1/4″ score at 5-1/4″ fold on score line.

Step 2 – Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock  5″ X 6″.  Using largest die from Susan’s new release Garden Notes Frame It – Ovals die cut oval in center.  Attach to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 3 – Die cut 2 Garden Notes Galvanized Bucket one from brown cardstock and one from ModaScrap – Wood Effects paper that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.   Adhere wood effect bucket on top of brown bucket.  Bend slightly with fingers to give it some shape.  Add dimensional tape down the center of bucket, leaving a gap at the top of the bucket  and adhere to bottom of card front using Kids Choice Glue around just the outer edges leaving bucket opening free of  any glue or adhesive.

Die cut handle and top of bucket from silver cardstock.  From top piece of bucket cut out just the ring /ridge adhere to woodgrain bucket so it looks like metal ring seen on old wooden buckets.  For wood grip cut from brown cardstock shade with ink adhere to handle with Kids Choice Glue.  Bend just a little and adhere to bucket using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 4  –  Die cut 3 Garden Notes – Shasta Daisies shape using molding mat and tool kit.

Step 5 – Die cut Garden Notes – Ivy from green cardstock. Shade using PanPastels and then shape using leaf pad and leaf tool.  Using a bit of Kids Choice Glue attach ivy to top of bucket.

Step 6 – Die cut Garden Notes Ostrich Fern from green cardstock shade with ink  and give shape by pinching up fronds around tweezers from tool kit.  Attach in top of bucket using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7 –  Build daisies on top of ferns by using Kids Choice Glue.  Add leaves.  Add yellow pollen to centers using Kids Choice Glue.
