Baby Puppy Love!

June 29, 2019

Hi there!  It’s Suzanne here today with a fun baby card for you!

Oh, my.  There is nothing like a puppy! Puppy eyes are guaranteed to melt any heart.  (But really it’s a little plan on their part to get what they want –– and it works!) You can’t get mad at this wee fellow when he knocks the frame askew!

Here’s Joset’s sweet Dog die set combined with some A Way With Words classics! It’s a celebration of Mark’s, Joset’s brother, new puppy who is to die for (the puppy that is 🙂 …)!

Here is how you can make this card for a new baby puppy dog!

Die cut Baby from Tranquil Blue cardstock. Die cut Love from black cardstock.  Die cut the puppy from white Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the Flourished Frame from brown patterned paper.

Colour-blend Distress Inks to for the puppy colours you need and assemble the puppy. I used the Detail Blending Tools for this job, as many of the pieces are quite small. Draw in the mouth and I added little pads to the feet with the marker.

Cut a panel of the striped blue paper measuring 6” wide by 4.25 high and place it at an angle inside the Flourished Frame and attach. Adhere the A Way With Words dies and the puppy as shown.

Form a 5.5” x 7” tent-fold card base from Blue Lightening cardstock. Mount the decorated panel on the card base with foam squares.

Give it to the puppy…um, the new puppy’s person!

Have fun with this project! Do we have any puppy people here?
