Autumnal Nasturtium Garland

December 14, 2018

Hello Crafters! Luciana here today with a floral garland card. I would like to suggest to you something that will recall the warm colors of autumn. Let’s start!

Step 1. Die cut from White Soft Finish Cardstock 6 sets of Garden Notes – Nasturtium (except the stems) and color them as shown below.

Step 2. Use the loop tool and the mold pad to create the veins on the petals.

Step 3.  Use the tweezers to shape the edges.

Step 4.  Using the tweezers, wrap the pistil pieces from the center.

Step 5. Layer and adhere the two parts of the flowers as shown below, then adhere the pistil in the center.

Step 6. Use the leaf tool and the leaf pad to add vein details to the leaves.

Step 7. Shape the leaves with the tweezer.

Step 8.  Create a softly tinted watercolor background on a piece of white cardstock cut to  6 1/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches (16m x 14cm).

Step 9. Create two pieces of wreath garland from White Soft Finish Cardstock with the Garden Notes – Grapevine Wreath Round die set. Color them with shades of brown.

Step 10. Glue the two layers of the grapevine wreath onto the background, offset as shown.

Step 11. Die cut from White Soft Finish Cardstock 2 sets of Garden Notes – Leafy Berry Branch. Color as shown. Add dimension to the berries with yellow Nuvo Drops. Allow to dry.

Step 12. Arrange and adhere the branch, flowers and leaves as shown below.

Step 13. Stamp the sentiment “season’s greetings” from Classic Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp set, one time in light brown and one time with black ink to create a shadow effect. Color the sides of the sentiment rectangle with shades used on the flowers. Adhere it on the right side of the garland using foam tape for dimension, allowing the rectangle to curve just slightly as shown.

Step 14. Cut a sheet of white cardstock to  6 3/4 inches x 11 1/2 inches (17cm x 29cm), score and fold in half to create a top-fold card base. Adhere the panel with garland to the card base. Accent the card with star-shaped sequins and small dots of black Nuvo Drops. Allow to dry.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial! Thank you for stopping by.
