Owl Love You Forever Card

January 22, 2020

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a super fun card to share with you using products from Joset Designs along with the Planner Essentials Background Stamp to create a subtle backdrop. Below are the steps to create your own Owl Love Your Forever Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Apply ink of your choice in various red shades. I used a blender brush with Altenew Inks. Let dry. I used a heat tool to speed up the drying process.

Step 3 – Stamp Planner Essentials Background Stamp 1 on the background created from Step 2 using White Ink towards the bottom. Move the stamp up and stamp again. Let dry.

Step 4 – Diecut Dashing Rectangles to the background created from Step 2. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 5 – Diecut Peek-A-Boo Love set using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the lips and 2 hearts in red and colour the flowers. I used red ink for the rose and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers for the stem and leaves.

Step 6 – Diecut Owl using Coloured Cardstock and/or White Cardstock and colour in. Assemble the Owl using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7 – Adhere the Peek-A Boo frame to the front of card using thin Foam Tape. Adhere the Owl, Flowers using Foam Tape. Adhere the 2 hearts and lips using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 8 – Diecut Words 2 Thinking Of You (word You) using Coloured Cardstock. Adhere to card using Foam Tape and Kids Choice Glue.

Step 9 – Stamp Sentiments 2 Just Because using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Step 10 – For added interest Apply Craft Drops Transparent Crystal to the 2 Hearts and Lips. Let dry.

Sunset Scene Card

January 8, 2020

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Before I start I want to wish you all a Happy New Year. All the best for a healthy, prosperous and crafty year ahead.

One of my favourite dies last year was the Village Edges. I showcased it to create a Holiday Scene, but today I want to show you how versatile it is for any occasion. Below are the steps to create your own Sunset Scene card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a horizontal side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Apply Distress Oxide Inks using a foam applicator. Starting from the bottom working upwards apply Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick and Dusty Concord. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3 – Diecut Village Edges using Black Cardstock. Adhere the bottom layer using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive leaving a 1/4” border. Do not adhere the top layer yet.

Step 4 – Diecut Words 2 – Thinking Of You 3 times using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere Kids Choice Glue and stack up the Diecuts. Apply Distress Oxide Ripe Persimmon Completely over the top layer, apply Fired Brick just to the top edge. Sprinkle Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. Repeat this 2 more times but ink with Versamark. Adhere the sentiment using Kids Choice Glue to top layer of the Village Edges.

Step 5 – Here I did some stamp surgery to get the exact Sentiment. Stamp Safari Saying “Have A” using Versamark. In another sentiment I stamped just the “N”. Next stamp “Birthday” again using Versamark. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. Adhere the top layer Village Edges to the card using Foam Tape.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the Village Edges used in another occasion. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Sending You A Bear Hug Card

December 26, 2019

Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Now that the holidays are sort of over I wanted make a playful card using the Honey Bear and Asian Accessories Die. Below you will find the steps to create your own Sending You A Bear Hug card.

Step 1 – Trim Red Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Diecut Fitted Rounded Rectangles using the card base created from Step 1. Be sure to offset the die slightly past the fold. This is round all the corners while keeping the card 1piece.

Step 3 – Diecut Stitched Rounded Rectangles using White Soft Finish Cardstock. One die slightly smaller than card base. Doodle a pattern using any colour medium of your choice. I made a freehand checkered background and coloured it using Spectrum Noir Classique Alcohol Markers. Adhere to card using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 4 – Diecut Honey Bear using either coloured cardstock or White and colour in the colours of your choice. Assemble the Bear and bees using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 5 – Diecut Asian Accessories (the umbrella). I added some shading to the Umbrella using Spectrum Noir Classique Alcohol Markers. Adhere the Umbrella, Bear and Bees using Foam Tape.

Step 6 – Stamp Bear Hugs sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on White Cardstock. Trim the sentiment and adhere on top of the bear arms using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

I love making patterns by freehand and using them as a background. Try it out and the fun part is you don’t have to doodle the entire panel. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
