Hello everyone, it’s Sanna Lippert here again today for my August guest blog post. Today I’d like to share some fun “cute food” clear stamp card ideas with you. I love these stamps in combination with the fun sentiments, because you can create cards for practically every occasion!!
But first let me share the steps with you:
Step 1: I started by stamping the images very randomly with black waterproof stamp ink onto white Soft Finish Cardstock and then coloring them with Highly Pigmented Watercolour Pencils and blending the colours with a water tank brush.
Step 2: Next I fussy cut all the tiny images with my tiny Tim Holtz precision scissors. This takes a while, so if you would like to save time, I suggest you buy the matching “Cute Food” die cut die set for the stamps. That will save you lots of time! I didn’t have one, so I used my scissors. This is more time consuming, but also works.
Step 3: After fussy cutting I took a piece of white Soft Finish Cardstock and inked it with green and blue Distress Ink using the blending technique. Next I die cut the inked paper into two background pieces using the Circle and the Diamond Background dies.
Step 4: I then adhered the background pieces onto blue and purple Soft Finish Cardstock using a wide glue pen. You can also use the Clear Double Sided Adhesive instead of a glue pen, but you have to adhere it onto the paper before die cutting it! I also stamped the sentiments with embossing ink onto black cardstock several times and heat embossed them with white embossing powder to use them as sentiments on the finished cards. I fussy cut the embossed sentiments into banner, but you can also use the Stitched Fishtail Banner die for this purpose.
Step 5: For my third card I used the negative pieces of the Circle Background die to create a circle pattern on white card base. The donuts work really well together with the negative residue pieces and create a fun card.
For more shine and texture I decorated the donuts with some Crystal Glaze.
Step 6: Depending on which card I was working on, I either added some shading onto the background with Distress Inks, decorated the colored images with googly eyes or added glazed details onto them.
I had such a great time creating these Cute Food cards. After you are done with coloring and die cutting/fussy cutting them, the rest is fast and easy!! Here are my finished cards:
