Snowflake Season

October 30, 2018

Hello! Samantha back sharing a sweet and simple card that can easily be created to help you get organized this Christmas! That’s right, Christmas is around the corner and I know many of you may not even have it on your mind yet. So for today’s tutorial I wanted to share a card using the new Snowflake die that has a ‘WOW’ factor but was made in only ten minutes.

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Die cut the two larger snowflakes from pattern paper and red cardstock.

Step 2: Adhere clear double sided adhesive to one side of white cardstock then die cut the smallest snowflake, keeping the adhesive side facing into the die so the adhesive will be on the front.

Step 3: Remove release sheet to expose the adhesive, apply a generous amount of Light Gold Silk Microfine Glitter to the snowflake. Brush off excess and return it to the jar. Polish the glitter with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 4: Die cut a banner and stamp the sentiment. Layer and adhere the snowflakes to the card base as shown below, glue only in the center so the flakes have dimension. Card front measures 10 cm x 14 cm.

Step 5: Optional: Round the upper right corner. Add machine stitched details.

Step 6: Adhere the banner with foam tape. Embellish with sequins and a twine bow.

Step 7: Adhere card front to a C6 side-fold card base.

This card didn’t take long to make – the beautiful snowflake and touches of gold are what make  it so special! Kraft brown is also a wonderful alternative to white (though you could use white if you prefer). The way the snowflakes are layered with a banner across the front gives the look of a Christmas Wreath! If you are pressed for time and need to create a few quick cards this is the project for you!

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
