Halloween Lollypop Holders

September 4, 2017

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s Frances here and it is my turn to post a tutorial today for the Die Cut Design Team. With Halloween just under two months away (57 days actually), I thought it would be fun to play with some of the new Halloween dies and stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Halloween isn’t as big an event down here in Australia as it is in the USA, but I do love creating Halloween-themed projects when I can.

Today I have created two Halloween Lollypop Holders to give to trick or treaters, or in my case, to my grandchildren.

Here is how I created my project:

Step 1 –

  • Cut a piece of purple cardstock that measures 3.5 inches x 7.5 inches.

  • Score along the long edge of the cardstock at 3.5 inches and 4 inches (shown as black lines in the photo above).
  • Sponge around the edges of both sides of the cardstock using black ink.

Step 2 –

  • Using black cardstock die cut the witch from the Haunted House Set.
  • Using black cardstock die cut the graveyard border and the bat from the Halloween Scenery set.
  • Using orange cardstock die cut a circle (moon) from the Fitted Circles die set.
  • Sponge around the moon using black ink.
  • Adhere all images to the front of the lollypop holder using photo above for placement.

  • Using a hole punch, punch two holes at the bottom of the holder so that they go through both the front and back of the lollypop holder.

Step 3 –

  • Using the Spooky Sentiments Clear Stamp set, stamp the “Witch way to the candy?” sentiment onto White Soft Finish Cardstock using black ink.
  • Die cut sentiment using one of the label dies from the coordinating Labels 1 die set. Sponge around the edge of the label using black ink.
  • Color stamped image if desired.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the inside of the lollypop holder (it will be on the reverse side of the card front, holes just above the label).

Step 4 –

  • Place a piece of Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back of the lollypop and adhere it to the bottom half of the inside of the lollypop holder.
  • Cut a length of ribbon approximately 12 inches long and thread through the two holes at the bottom of the lollypop holder, so that the ribbon is on either side of the lollypop stick.
  • Continue threading the ribbon through the two holes at the top of the lollypop holder, so the tails go to the front.
  • Tie the ribbon into a bow. (Tip – To ensure that the tails of the bow point downward, turn the lollypop holder upside down before you tie the bow).

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my tutorial

Francis, I swear, you just continue to amaze me with what ever is going on in your head. This is just the cutest Halloween treat. If you tell me that you’re going to make those in mass for Halloween night, then I’d say Mother Teresa has nothing on you friend!
