Hi! It’s Fran from Karen Burniston’s design team with another Pop It Up Wednesday project. Today I’ll be using the Cup Pop Stand to create a card.
I started with the Swirly Flourish Stencil and Suzanne Cannon’s A Way With Words Hello. I die cut 3 of the words and glued them together to get some height. I created a varied look with the stencil by changing the pressure of the sponge/ink applicator as I moved from top to bottom. Then I splattered over that with dark brown ink and sponged the edges. Gold foil down the side and gold brads go with the gold filament behind the words.
Here’s the inside. Cut a 4 x 10 3/4 piece of paper and die cut the Pop Stand on the center fold. Repeat the sponging with the stencil on just the 2 corners.
The cup has a vellum cardstock “swirl of steam.”
The cup is cut from red polka dot paper twice. Flip the die for the second cut if your paper is blank or has a different pattern on back. The heart on the cup is from the Hanging Charm Pull Card die set and is tied with a little bit of baker’s twine. Cut the saucer from red paper and sponge the design on with red ink. Then die cut the saucer with a circle die.
To hold the Gift Card, I die cut the flourishes from the Oval Landscape Accordion and glued them down just at the three tips. It’s so cute! TIP: Use a small glue dot on the card to keep it from slipping during mailing.
Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s Pop It Up Wednesday!

Great idea to use the little flourish to hold the gift card & I love the stenciling on the inside.
great idea for a gift card. I am going to do this.
I love the card, Fran. How perfect to make it a gift card holder.
