How To Make This Love-Themed Present Set

February 26, 2019

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna Lippert here again. I am very honored to be able to continue as a guest blogger here at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog bi-monthly this year. As my very first project for this year, I´d like to share a fun love-themed present set with you.

Here is what the finished project looks like:

Here is what I did:

Step 1: Die cut the light purple polka dot paper with the present box with the Pillow Box with Handle die. Also adhere the same paper as a background piece to a white card base.
Step 2: Die cut the jar, the hearts, the tag and the straw from white Soft Finish Cardstock using the Summer Drink die cut die set.
Step 3: Now die cut the flamingos also from white Soft Finish Cardstock using the Flamingos die cut die set.
Step 4: Die cut a blue background piece from the Fly & Scrap paper collection papers with the Stitched Rectangles die.
Step 5: Using Distress Inks color the flamingos, the jar, the hearts and the straw. I used mainly various pink tones and an ink blending tool for this step. Stamp a sentiment onto the jar tag.
Step 6: Build the box, then assembly the flamingos and the jar together and adhere on place.
Step 7: Decorate with a matching colored ribbon.

I´ve also recorded a process video for your to watch to give you a better idea on each an every step. Hope you enjoy it!

This is all from me for today. This type of love-themed project is perfect for so many occasions. Depending on the colours you choose, you can create something for Mother´s Day or for a Wedding or for a baby shower even!

I hope I could inspired you to play a little with your papers and dies. See you in April again!
Happy crafting,
Sanna

August 12, 2018

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna here again with this month’s guest designer blog post. I created two baby cards for July´s post and had quite a pile of leftover die cut pieces. That gave me the idea to use the bits to create a multi-color die cut background and focal point for a fun children´s birthday card. Continue Reading

Quick and Simple Wedding Card

June 24, 2018

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for June’s Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow.  It’s amazing to think I have been doing Sunday Stamping for over a year now (thanks, TimeHop!).  I love playing with my Elizabeth Craft Designs goodies each month and having a blog post scheduled always gives me a push to challenge myself to come up with something new.

I hope you all having a wonderful Sunday. We are definitely seeing some signs of summer in Ohio although we seemed to have skipped spring. With summer comes wedding season! We don’t have any this year, but we do have our wedding anniversary coming on Tuesday so I’m certainly feeling in the mood!  Today I have a really quick and easy wedding card for you, and I love the touch of elegance it has, plus you can customize the base depending on the color theme of the wedding….

Watercolor Cactus Card

Hi! It’s Elena today and I have been wanting to use the Cacti Clear Stamps from Krista Schneider for a while now. Cactus and succulent-themed cards seem to be very popular these days and Krista’s stamp set is so cute that I had to jump in and make my own version. I used two different easy watercolor techniques with a bit of die cutting and of course – glitter!! Here’s how I made the card: Continue Reading

You Fill My Heart – Layout and a Pair of Cards

February 11, 2018

Hello there everyone, it´s Sanna here today with a scrapbook layout tutorial and a pair of cards. For this month´s tutorial I´ve again recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. But first, let me show you the layout. Valentine´s Day being just around the corner, I wanted to create something love theme related, so I made a scrapbook page about my younger son and a set of love themed clean and simple cards with some of the newly-released dies as well as some old favorites. Monochromatic Die Cut Glittered Background Card

December 21, 2017

Hello there everyone, Sanna here today. Welcome to my last tutorial of the year, the last project I’ll be doing as a member of the Die Cut Design Team. It´s been a fabulous two years and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  But before I tell you more about that, I´d like to share this card tutorial with you.
This card – well these cards, actually – were inspired by the recent background challenge. As you might recall, I made quite a few cards for that challenge. I love creating backgrounds for my projects with dies, stencils and stamps as well as various media. This card features one of the newest background dies and this is how I created it:
