Good morning! Laura here today to share a summer layout!
To create this layout: Step 1 – Using your favorite ECD papers (I used Summer Art) have one 12″x12″ or 30cm x 30cm paper, trim another to 3″x6″ or 7.5cm x 15.25cm, and trim one more 4″x 7.25″ or 10.15cm x 18.5 cm, and one at .75″x 6″ or 2cm x 15.25cm Ink all the edges of the papers Step 2 – using coordinating cardstock die cut 4 silhouetted circles of varies sizes using your favorite ECD circle die (I used stitched circles) and 3 silhouetted rectangles and 1 full rectangle of various sizes (I used stitched rectangles)
Step 3 – Die cut, ink and assemble 9 of your favorite ECD flowers (I used Florals 2, and florals 3) Step 4 – Die cut 1 film strip, 2 small filmstrip from Planner Essentials 24, one dragonfly and the summer word and shadow from the Summer Art set from coordinating cardstock. Ink all the edges.
Step 5 – Mat your photo Step 6 – Assemble as shown
To create this layout: Step 1 – trim a 1.25″ or 3.5cm off of the right side of your base paper and distress the edge. Step 2 – cut a 4.5″ or 11.5cm piece of paper and distress the edges. Use a 3″ or 7cm piece of paper to lay under the base paper to create your 12×12″ or 30x30cm layout like shown
Step 4 – using coordinating papers cut 8 (2 each of 4 sizes) of the Diagonal Stitched Fishtails, distress the edges and layer like shown. Step 5 – die cut 2 – 4 3/4 silhouette circles, distress the edges and trim one in half. Add the whole circle like in the above photo. Step 6 – mat your photo and distress the edges
Step 7 – Using various dies cut enough stitched stars, tags, and fishtails to create two banners using twine. Add a half circle as shown
Step 8 – die cut a ‘limited edition‘ and background, an arrow, a maze piece and circle background to create this title section and as shown
Hello friends, it’s Sandy Diller with you today for a fun and easy Haunted “Mushroom” House. This is a large card, 6″ X 7″, so that is going to require a custom envelope that you will need to create. This is lots of fun so let’s get started.
Begin by cutting out the house using the Mushroom House Folding Card. Distress Oxide Inks was used here to color the mushroom stem and the lower part of the roof. I used Black Soot for the top part but it does look like green here. It actually looks green on the finished card but I’m ok with that.
Use the same die set to cut the doors and windows. The Halloween Scenery die set was used for the tree & graveyard. One of he Stitched Circles was used for the moon and then edged with orange.
The top part of the roof was cut from a scrap in my stash. Once all pieces were cut and colored, assembly began. The ghost on the top came from one of my older Elizabeth Craft Designs set. The ghosts are cut from vellum so they would look more spooky.
The last piece added was the moon.
Now I must confess that once I got everything assembled the way I wanted it, I was not happy with the way it looked from the inside. To solve that problem – the card was closed – glued shut and mounted on a piece of purple paper. Sometimes in card making we have to take a detour.
Once it looked acceptable – it was added to a black background with a thin boarder all around. At this point – one more ghost was added.
Since this is such a large card a separate back panel was added.
On the inside the largest Indented Rectangle die was used and the sentiment was stamped.

Step 4 – die cut 3 Stitched Circles and create rolled flowers from coordinating papers
Step 5 – Die cut 2 Mandala from black cardstock and cut one in half
Step 6 – fussy cut 4 flowers from the patterned paper
Step 7 – die cut 3 Leafy Branch from black cardstock
Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my Joy Gift Tag.
To create my Joy Gift Tag, I’ve used a variety of dies and stamps from Suzanne Cannon as well as Els van de Burgt Studio. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my gift tag at home.
Step One. From the Planner Essentials 26 – Planner Pocket 3 – Tag & Toppers die, die cut the small tag out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.
Step Two. Choose a couple of the snowflakes from the Christmas Collection stamp set. Apply Emboss It Ink to the snowflakes and stamp randomly on the tag, reapply ink as needed, you’ll need a total of fourteen snowflakes. Sprinkle Forever Platinum Modern Gilding Powder over the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Three. Die cut a 2 1/2″ Stitched Circle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Four. From the Love Joy & Peace Christmas Ornament, die cut the ornament out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the ornament. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powder over the entire surface of the ornament. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
Step Five. From the Love Joy & Peace Christmas Ornament, die cut the joy word out of White Soft Finish Cardstock and black cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the white Joy word. Sprinkle Forever Platinum Modern Gilding Powder over the entire surface of the word. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
Step Six. Die cut the Snowflake from the Flourished Christmas Minis 2 out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the snowflake. Sprinkle Forever Platinum Modern Gilding Powder over the entire surface of the snowflake. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
Step Seven. Adhere the ornament to the stitched circle. Foam square the stitched circle 1/4″ from the right and 1 1/8″ from the bottom of the tag.
Step Eight. Adhere the snowflake to the middle of the ornament. Adhere the Joy embossed word slightly to the right overtop of the black cardstock Joy word, this will create a shadow in behind the embossed Joy word. Use foam squares to adhere the Joy word to the bottom right corner of the tag.
Step Nine. Tie a bow at the top of the tag with a piece of black twine. To finish off the tag, use White Craft Drops to add dots to the snowflake as desired.

To create this layout Step 1 – take two papers from the Rusty Weathered paper kit.
Step 2 – cut one line approximately in the center along the bottom about 3″ long and one on the side in the center about 2″ long. Using your paper distressor tool or scissors distress the edges of the slits and fold back and adhere with double sided tape Step 3 – Adhere the two pages together and distress the edges Step 4 – fussy cut 3 flowers from one of the pages
Step 5 – create a photo mat for your photo 1/2″ bigger than your photo Step 6 – Die cut two frames using the fitted rounded rectangle die set. I used the 5 1/2″ and 5 1/4″ die Step 7 – Die cut a 3 lightbulbs from the Planner Essentials 20 from coordinating papers Step 8 – die cut 3 circles from the Stitched Circles and create 3 rolled flowers Step 9 – create photo mat and cluster as shown above
Step 10 – Die cut 11, 1 3/4″ stitched hexagons and distress the edges
Hi Everyone, it’s Tina here. Rainbows have a new meaning these days. Did you know if you have circle dies you can make rainbows? Two of them. Below are the steps to create your own Sending You XOXO card.
Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a horizontal card. (A2)
Step 2 – Place 7 circle dies evenly spaced on top of White Soft Finish Cardstock trimmed to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” with removable tape. Diecut. Colour in rainbow colours using alcohol markers. Use tape on the backside to hold all the pieces together and adhere to card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Trim the access.
Step 3 – Diecut Sea Weed (the chest and accessories). Assemble the chest and adhere to card using Kid’s Choice Glue.
Step 4 – Diecut Peek-A-Boo Love Set and Entwined Heart (all the little hearts) using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Colour in various shades of red using Alcohol Markers. Adhere to the chest and some floating ones using Kid’s Choice Glue.
Step 5 – Stamp Bear Hugs sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on White Soft Finish Cardstock. I did some stamp surgery by using Sending You A Bear Hug Stamp and using removable tape to cover A Bear Hug. I inked the stamp and removed the tape.
Step 6 – Diecut Diagonal Stitched Fishtails using the sentiment created from Step 5. Trim the left side and adhere to card using Foam Tape.
This card can be used for any occasion by changing the sentiment. You can also change up the rainbow colours. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
Hello, It’s Sandy Diller here. Today I have a special project to share with you. We recently received a nice note and photo from our grandson who is attending college in Washington State. He told us about his studies to become a physical therapist and about his extracurricular activities. I thought this was something special and wanted to give the photo a place of honor in our home. So proud of him. Even though we are all currently staying home and students are doing online classes – I thought this was appropriate at graduation time.
Let’s get started on today’s project!
I am fortunate to have an older die that cuts a large rosette but if you do not have a die – this rosette can be easily made by hand. To make the rosette using a die you will need two pieces of 12″ X 12″ cut in half. To make the rosette by hand, cut 4 pieces of cardstock 12″ X 4.75″ and then scored every half inch along the 12″ side. Then fold each score line like an accordion, first valley, then mountain folds until each is folded. The die I used made a decorative edge so if you are making yours by hand, it will have a straight edge.
I began with the beautiful Rainbow Bark paper from ModaScrap.
Join all pieces together as shown above.
When all pieces are joined, you will have a funny looking ring like the one above. To make the rosette (shown below) push the outside edges down while gently pushing the bottom edges to the inside.
It will want to pop up if you let go of it so you may need some help here. I always get my husband to come in and hold down the edges while I glue. I like making two circles, one for the front and one a little larger for the back. Add the glue to the center of the rosette and place one circle into the glue. I like to use hot glue to hold it together but you can use any kind of glue, just know that you will need to hold it down until the glue dries. I discovered that it is helpful to use a large round container to hold it in place while you get the folds spread out evenly and ready to glue. It still needs to be held down until the glue cools or dries. I don’t cook but I found a container in my kitchen that worked great.
Cut out all the elements that you want on your rosette and begin to assemble. When I had all my elements added I decided to add some transparent Craft Drops for texture. For the final touch I stamped “Follow Your Dreams” from the Dream Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.

To create my card, I’ve used a variety of the new dies and stamps from Charlene and Ilse’s Art Journal Specials Collection as well as a couple of dies from the Planner Essentials Collection, Joset Designs and Els van de Burgt Studio. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my card at home.
Step One. Die cut a 4 1/4″ Stitched Square out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place the Story Telling stencil to the left hand side of the square and put Texture Paste Opaque Matte through the stencil with a palette knife as much or as little as desired. Once the paste has dried, distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Two. Die cut a 4 3/4″ Stitched Square out of a piece of book page. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Three. Die cut a 2″ Stitched Circle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the circle down to 1 1/2″. Die cut a 1 1/2″ Stitched Circle out of a piece of patterned paper. Cut the circle down to 1 1/4″. Distress the edges of the circles. Ink the edges of the circles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Four. Die cut a 3/4″ Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the fishtail down to 2 1/2″. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Bloom sentiment from the A Field of Flowers stamp set and stamp onto the fishtail. Distress the edges of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Five. Die cut the Mandala out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Cut the Mandala down to 2 1/2″.
Step Six. Die cut the Blooming Branch from the Blooming Branches die and die cut the branch out of cream cardstock.
Step Seven. From the Planner Essentials 24 – Photo Frame die, die cut the film strip out of a piece of black cardstock. Trim the filmstrip down to 3 1/8″.
Step Eight. From the Planner Essentials 24 – Photo Frame die, die cut the arrow strip out of a piece of pattern paper. Ink the edges of the strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Step Nine. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the flower branch from the First Sights of Spring stamp set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour paper. Colour the flower branch using the Watercolor Palette and a waterbrush. Fussy cut the flower branch out.
Step Ten. Cut a small piece of cheesecloth.
Step Eleven. Adhere the 4 1/4″ stitched square to the 4 3/4″ stitched square.
Step Twelve. Adhere the mandala to the left hand side of the 4 1/4″ stitched square. Adhere the 1 3/4″ stitched circle to the middle of the mandala. Adhere the 1 1/4″ stitched circle to the 1 3/4″ stitched circle.
Step Thirteen. Staple the arrow strip to the film strip in two sections as desired. Adhere the bloom fishtail 1/2″ from the bottom and 1″ from the left of the 4 1/4″ square. The fishtail will sit slightly underneath the circles. Adhere the arrow strip and film strip to the middle of the circles.
Step Fourteen. Adhere the cheesecloth to the middle of the arrow strip and films trip. Adhere the bloom branch to the middle of the cheesecloth.
Step Fifteen. Foam square the flower branch as desired overtop of the bloom branch.
Step Sixteen. To finish the card, cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″, score at 4 3/4″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Good morning! Laura with you today! Over the Christmas holidays we were lucky enough to spend some time in Punt Cana and we had family photos taken – where else but on the beach of course!
I do not normally create blog posts with specific items but to create this layout you will need a few specific items 1 12×12 sheet of patterned paper and few pieces for die cutting and flower making (I used Ciao Bella Codex – Leonardo) 1 sheet of photo paper 4 – 5 colorant powders (I used Brusho in terracotta, turquoise, Prussian blue, yellow ochre, and Dark brown) dies – favorite flower die (I used small flower die, bunch of flowers, large flower) your favorite circle die (I used stitched circles), stitched fishtails, and planner essentials 11 scraps of cardboard ink and glue
To create this layout: 1 – take an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of photos paper and cut it in half. Spray with water then add your color powders and spray with water again. Continue adding powders and water until you are satisfied with the results then heat set with your heat gun
Step 2 – using your stitched fishtails and the colorful photo paper you just created, die cut your desired size of fishtails ( I used the second smallest). Die cut enough t fit across the page – I used 10 then ink the edges Step 3 – using your favorite flower dies die cut, ink edges and assemble 8 flowers. Step 4 – using your favorite circle die die cut 3 circles in sizes of your choice. Then cut into a spiral and ink the edges the roll into a flower
Step 5 – die cut one large circle in a silhouette, cut the center circle in half then ink both the silhouette circle and the two half circles. Step 6 – die cut two torn ledger pieces (tear ends off to make them more grungy looking) and one of the the ledger pieces from planner essential 11 Step 7 – tear pieces of cardboard and ink the edges
Step 8 – ink the edges of your 12×2 paper Step 9 – adhere everything together then add your title
