Santa Loves Sadie

October 28, 2022

Karen here. Many of you have seen some of my scrapbook pages for my boyfriend’s dog, Sadie. Using the Planner Essentials for scrapbooking is so much fun! Today’s page also features part of Joset’s new Warm & Cozy Release (that is available now in your local and many online stores).

To start this page, I put together the FuN and NeW Santa Claus. I cut the pieces using a combination of patterned cardstock, 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock, and black cardstock. For the eyes/eyebrows/etc piece, I first applied 101mm Double Sided Adhesive to make these pieces easier to apply. I added color to the beard (distress ink in Hickory Smoke), face (Copic E00, R20), glasses (Copic C5), eyes (Copic C7), nose (Copic E11), and list (Antique Linen). I love putting together these dies. It reminds me of the fun of playing with paper dolls as a child 🙂

The page base is from Planner Essentials 13. The cardstock is from the Christmas Lives Here set. On the front I added a tag under Santa that is also from the Christmas Lives Here set. I wanted to make it a different shape, so I cut the top with a large Fitted Circle Die and cut the bottom with a corner rounder punch. I edged this piece with distress ink in Walnut Stain. I added the “Santa” letters die cut from Planner Essentials 23. I ended up printing LoVeS and Sadie on my printer and re-cut the list.

On the inside, I added another tag from Christmas Lives here, a reindeer from the NeW Holiday Stocking and the holly from the NeW Cozy Fireplace.

And finally, on the back, I added a tree that I cut from 90 lb White Soft Finish Cardstock backed with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive. (Unfortunately, the tree is from an older set and is no longer available – it was there when I started the page!) And of course, no page is complete without some fun reinforcements!!

Craftily yours, Karen

Santa Is Coming!

December 24, 2019

Here Comes Santa Claus! Hello – Samantha here…with my last Christmas card for the year! I completely love the idea of Santa’s alternative mode of transportation portrayed in this card…I can totally see him giving Rudolf the night off and flying around in this modified Safari Jeep!

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Cut green card stock to fit an A6 card base. (Measurements: 114mm x 162mm)

Step 2: Die cut the Adventures Edges wave die using white cardstock and to create a snowy background. Adhere to card base – trim.

Optional: Add machine stitched details.

Step 3: Using red, black and white cardstock die cut the Safari Jeep. Put aside the grill, side mirrors, and head lights to die cut (see Step 6) with silk microfine glitter.

Step 4: Stamp the sentiment on the ‘Safari Jeep’ bumper.

Step 5: Adhere Clear Double Sided adhesive to red cardstock. Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of Silk Microfine Glitter (Light Gold). Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 6: Die cut the remaining ‘Safari Jeep’ parts – grill, side mirrors, and head lights.

Step 7: Die cut the Santa using red, white, cream and black cardstock.

NOTE: Only the top half of Santa is required for this card.

Step 8: Assemble and adhere the Santa die cut peices together.

Step 9: Adhere the wheels to the card front, and start to assemble the Safari Jeep.

Step 10: Adhere Santa to the card front. Using pattern paper and cardstock die cut the presents (from Santa’s Sleigh die) and adhere them to the card front.

TIP: Before permanently adhering the Santa and presents check that they align with the Jeep.

Step 11: Adhere the Jeep over the Santa and presents. Adhere additional die cut presents to the card front. Die cut and adhere Santa’s bell using gold card. Embellish with sequins and a twine bow.

Happy Crafting –– hope you enjoyed my final Christmas card for this year and that Santa will be visiting you tonight (preferably with some brand new crafting goodies!)

Merry Christmas!

Samantha

Make a Christmas Wish

November 24, 2018

Hi there!  It’s Suzanne today with a couple of Christmas Projects for you!

I always think it’s helpful to know what your family members would like for Christmas (even if I ignore it!!!), so I’ve created this handy dandy make-a-wish list!  The other project, using the same die, is a Christmas card.

You’ll love this!  It’s so easy and looks great! Here is how we start!

A Santa Die Cut Gift Tag

December 24, 2017

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for Sunday Stamping with Hedgehog Hollow again. I can’t believe it’s my last post of 2017.  First of all, Merry Christmas. I hope you are planning lots of fun times over the festive period, however you celebrate it.  I am of German heritage and I loved getting all my presents Christmas Eve. I let the girls open a small present Christmas Eve to keep the tradition alive, we have the rest of our presents Christmas Day – stockings when we first wake up and then we have Stollen Bread with Bucks Fizz and Prosecco, then a big round of presents before a big traditional British Christmas Day meal!  We have the in-laws over this year and I love them both so much. We will have lots of good food, laughter and fun while we celebrate our first Christmas in our own home. I’m so excited!
