You Complete Me Mini Slimline Card

January 25, 2022

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner I wanted to showcase the Gnomes in a love setting. Below is the steps to create your own card.

Step 1 – Trim White Soft Finish Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Diecut Heart Background using White Soft Finish Cardstock. Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6” and diecut Puzzle Heart (solid heart die) on a slant. Discard the diecut and keep the negative piece. Trim Fuschia Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6”. Place the Heart Background diecut on top of the trimmed Fuschia Cardstock and place the White negative Heart panel on top. Mark in pencil on the Fuschia panel how much you actually need for Heart Background Panel. Cut the Heart background piece and attach to the Fuschia panel. Now attach the White negative panel on top and attach to the card front. See photos below. Attach the whole panel to the card front using 3mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 3 – Stamp Love sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink to the card front.

Step 4 – Diecut Gnomes in various colors of Cardstock. I added some shading to the face, hands, heart and Gnomes hat using various colors of Copic Markers. Assemble using Kid’s Choice Glue and adhere to card using Foam Tape. Add the remaining small heart using Kid’s Choice Glue.

This card can be used for several occasions by changing the sentiment and/or background and/or Basic Shape Window. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

You Complete Me

February 21, 2019

February!…the month of love and romance! Hello. It’s Samantha sharing my You Complete Me card using Elizabeth Craft Designs Puzzle Heart die and Love Sentiments Stamp set. February happens to be my Wedding Anniversary month – so for me, it’s a doubly romantic time of year and a wonderful excuse (not that I need one) to create cards for the heart.

Card Instructions:

Step 1: Die cut the two piece Puzzle Heart die using pattern paper and corrugated card stock.

Step 2: Adhere the detailed puzzle pieces to the corrugated heart.

Step 3: Stamp the sentiment on Kraft card measuring 7 cm x 2 cm.

Step 4: Adhere the heart and sentiment to a 10.5 cm x 15.5 cm Kraft card front.

Step 5: (Optional) Add a detailed machine stitched border (using a combination of straight lines and zigzags).

Step 6: Using scissor, cut any left over pattern paper and corrugated card into small uneven strips and adhere these as shown to your card front.

Step 7: Adhere Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the front of White Soft Finish Cardstock (measurement 3cm x 3cm).

Step 8: Die cut one heart puzzle piece.

Step 9: Remove the release sheet to expose the adhesive layer and apply a generous amount of True Red Silk Microfine Glitter. Brush off excess glitter and return it to the jar, then polish with a fingertip to bring out the maximum sparkle.

Step 10: Use foam tape to adhere this puzzle piece to the card front. Embellish the card with sequins and a twine bow. Adhere card front to a A6 card base.

How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day? I hope you liked today’s card tutorial – give it a try and create something beautiful for that special someone in your life.

Happy Crafting!

Samantha
