Hello Everyone!!! I hope this post finds you well!! It’s Wanda here today. We are in the midst of summer with some pretty hot days and then a couple cool ones thrown in over the holiday weekend earlier this month. Cool enough that it made you think of Autumn. It’s not often here in southern Iowa that you’d need a jacket on a July day!!! So I took that cool weather motivation and created an Autumn piece that will look beautiful sitting on the counter in my kitchen when Autumn really gets here.
Hi there! It’s Marsha here today with a fun collage idea!
The strawberries in my garden are not quite ready to harvest yet, but these strawberry die cuts are just as sweet!
I started this project with a card in mind, but my collage turned out so pretty that I just couldn’t bear to cut it up. I decided to put it in a frame and now I have a happy Summer decor piece instead!
Hello Spring
June 6, 2016Hello Everyone it is Christine here from Susan’s Design Team. Here in my area of Maine the Forget Me Not and Lily of the Valley are in bloom so of course I wanted to incorporate them into my design. I am excited to post a card that I have made using one of Susan’s new releases Garden Notes Carnation along with foliage from the new CountryScapes Lavender die. I wanted to show you how to stretch your dies combining and interchanging them to make even more flowers as I have done here for the Forget Me Not and the Lily of the Valley. I also wanted to show you how you can create different looks by combining embossing folders.
Happy Birthday Shimmer
April 16, 2016Hello!!! It’s Wanda Hentges here today to share an easy card using the A Way With Words Happy Birthday die. I was thinking ‘boy’ when I made this card (I’m sending it to our teenage grandson) but it would work just as well for a girl. If you’re wondering about that pink showing up in the word, it’s a reflection from my camera.
Meet Me At The Lighthouse Card
April 12, 2016Hi there! It’s Marsha here today sharing a sunny and shimmery sea-side card!
Although the sun is barely out today and the trees are only slowly turning green here in the Netherlands, I’m already thinking of summer and about spending time at the beach!
Hi It’s Kelly Booth
One of my very favorite things to do with cardstock that has a white core (White on one side and colored on the other) such as the New colored Soft Finish Cardstock, is to emboss it and then lightly sand the surface. I am just loving all the fun colors of the Soft Finish Cardstock so thought I would play with this favorite technique of mine.
Here is the front of the card with fun colors and Happy Balloons!
And the inside with more of the embossed and sanded cardstock around the Happy Birthday Pop Up:
I like to make flat egg-shaped Shimmer Sheetz ornaments to send in my Easter cards. Sometimes I’ll use Elizabeth Craft Designs Easter Egg outline peel-offs as the starting point. This year it’s the new Joset Designs Easter Eggs die set that stole my heart.
As always, I’ve worked within a quirky color palette – Fire Opal, Australian Opal, Turquoise, and Ruby Gemstone and Bronze Metallic among my choices, but all of the eggs could be switched to bright hues or soft pastels. Shimmer Sheetz is available in over 20 colors including Iridescent in two shades of pink, white, purple, green, yellow, bright orange and red. An Iridescent Sampler Pack might be a fun way to have lots of choices.
Reminders: Shimmer Sheetz is waterproof and colorfast, as are the Glitter Dots and other peel-offs used for the eggs. These ornaments (except for the strawberry eggs) can be hung in the garden as well as displayed indoors. A Metal Adaptor Plate or Precision Base Plate is required for die cutting Shimmer Sheetz.

Hello, everyone. Christine Pooler here from Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s Design Team. Spring is in the air, although here in Maine it is still a bit away from us.
My post today is a 6 X 6 card with spring flowers made from some of Susan’s Garden Notes dies. I have also added some pussy willow branches, a sure sign of spring.
Let’s get started!
