Joset Designs

Happy Easter

March 9, 2021

Hi there,

It’s Tanja here and today I would like to show you how to create this Easter Card.

Step 1: Preparation

  • prepare a rectangular panel cut from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock
  • cut out two eggs from patterned paper and a bow from pink felt using the Color my Easter Eggs die set. (Unfortunately this die set is no longer in stock at Elizabeth Craft Designs. Alternatively you can use the Elegant Easter Eggs Small die set which includes a solid egg and a bow as well. Will include link below.)
  • you will also need two strands of natural twine

Step 2: Create a Background

  • stamp some greenery from the Spring Fling Set with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves
  • ink up the edges with Distress Ink Ground Espresso
  • add some splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint

Step 3: Assembly

  • ink up the edges of the eggs with Distress Ink Pumice Stone
  • assemble the bow using hot glue
  • adhere the eggs and the twine to the card
  • stamp the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments Set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,

The inspiration of for this project started with a frame that Els made a few weeks back during her Technique Friday with Els Assembling the Happy Frame XL, where Els decorated just two of the side panels with stamps while leaving the other two bare.
