You’re Invited Baby Shower Invite

March 6, 2021

Hey Crafters! Katelyn here, sharing with you my You’re Invited Baby Shower Invite.

To create my You’re Invited Baby Shower Invite, I’ve used a variety of dies and stamps from Suzanne Cannon as well as dies from Els van de Burgt Studio. You’ll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my invite at home.

Step One. Start by choosing a couple of pieces of coordinating patterned paper. Die cut a 4 1/2″ Stitched Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 4″ Stitched Rectangle out of the other patterned paper.

Step Two. From the Big Balloon Die, die cut the balloon once out of Whisper Blue Soft Finish Cardstock. Choose another piece of coordinating patterned paper and die cut the balloon out again.

Step Three. Using the balloon die, die cut the string out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Four. Die cut the You’re Invited die out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step Five. From the Little Ones die, die cut the plain onesie out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the onesie with the heart on it out of another piece of coordinating patterned paper.

Step Six. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Something Special sentiment from the You’re Invited Stamp Set and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the sentiment into a strip.

Step Seven. Foam square the 4″ rectangle to the 4 1/2″ rectangle.

Step Eight. Adhere the patterned paper ballon to the plain blue ballon, making sure that you can see a bit of the blue. Adhere the string to the bottom of the balloon.

Step Nine. Adhere the balloon to the top left corner of the 4 1/2″ rectangle. Trim the string on the balloon so that it ends at the bottom of the 4 1/2″ rectangle.

Step Ten. Adhere the You’re Invited to the middle of the balloon as desired.

Step Eleven. Cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 5 3/4″ x 9″, score at 4 1/2″. Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Step Twelve. Adhere the patterned paper onesie to the plain onesie. Adhere the onesie to the middle inside of the card.

Step Thirteen. Adhere the Something Special sentiment to the bottom portion of the onesie.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create your own version of my You’re Invited Baby Shower Invite.

You Are Invited to Christmas Crafting

October 24, 2020

Hey Friends! It’s EK and I am popping in with a brand new card With Halloween almost here and over, it means it is time to start looking forward the most fun crafting season of all, Christmas. So today I thought I would whip up a quick little card inviting you and others to the holiday season! And one of the best ways to get into the holiday spirit is with the A Way With Words line of dies and stamps.

Step One: Using some yupo paper and alcohol ink, create a holiday themed background. I used Watermelon and Bottle Ranger Alcohol Ink and Mined Alloy Alcohol ink. Let dry.

Step Two: Trim a piece of 90lb Soft Finish Cardstock to 4.25×5.5 inches. Die cut the A Way With Words Flourished Deer die from the center of the cardstock.

Step Three: Using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive, adhere the negative space die cut 4.25×5.5 inch cardstock over the yupo paper.

Step Four: Place the Flourished Deer die cut back into the negative space. Using Kids Choice Glue, add the negative die cuts back into the blank spaces of the deer.

Step Five: Let Glue Dry.

Step Six: Die cut both the A Way With Words You’re Invited die and the Flourished Holly dies. Blend ink over the two die cuts. I used both Festive Berries and Pine Needle Distress Oxides. Adhere the Holly die cuts with Kids Choice Glue.

Step Seven: Adhere the yupo paper to an A2 card frame using 10mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Using Kids Choice Glue, adhere the Flourished Holly die cut to the card frame.

Step Eight: Adhere with Kids Choice Glue the You’re Invited die cut.

Step Nine: Add Pearl Rose Craft Drops to the card. Let dry.

I hope you are just as excited as I am about the up coming holiday crafting season. There are so many exciting new holiday things coming so make sure you stay tuned for all the new holiday releases! Until then, happy crafting.

A Way With Words

Design Team Focus on New Release – A Way With Words

June 5, 2018

Hi Everyone,

We have another release for you today! This time from Licensed Designer Suzanne Cannon/A Way With Words  releases her A Touch of Elegance Collection.

Suzanne’s words and greetings begin with her own unique pen and ink hand-lettering, not computer fonts. Dies are large enough to star on card fronts and they are perfect for journal pages, mixed media, and more. One of our favorite things about Suzanne’s charming and graceful dies is that they mesh seamlessly with other products from the Elizabeth Craft Designs collections.

We are adding 21 new die sets and 3 new Clear Stamp sets to the A Way With Words Collection.

Let’s take a look at what our Design Team created using them!
