Merry Christmas

November 3, 2023

Hello, lovely people!!

Have you all started prepping for the upcoming Christmas season? If not, I have this beautiful card to inspire you to get started. Elizabeth Craft Designs has beautiful Floral 24 for the easy and quick handmade Poinsettias.

To get started, I prepared a grungy looking embossed panel and layered an Stitched Indented Rectangle frame on the right edge of the card front. The basket made using Floral Foliage 1 was quick and easy to make.

The foliage from Floral 24 when cut in gold mirror cardstock added a real festive touch. The green foliage from the Pine Cones die set also enhanced the overall look of the floral bouquet.

The sentiment is stamped from the Seasonal Sentiment stamp set, using black archival ink on white cardstock and cut using a Layered Labels die set.

To add a little more seasonal touch I added lots of white tiny flowers from Floral Greenery 1. All the supplies used from Elizabeth Craft Designs are directly linked to the website for easy shopping.

Hope you liked my projects. I‘m always happy to hear from you. It is a joy to read your comments and I’m grateful to you all. Thank you for spending your precious time here. For more inspiration, you can follow me on Facebook, InstagramYouTube, and, Pinterest.

Cardmaking Joset Designs Soft Finish Cardstock

Thankyou beary-much

November 1, 2023

Hii everyone, welcome to this blogpost.

This is an exciting week because the newest release from Joset is here. It is such a cute and great release. For this post I had a fun play time with it.

I started with the mason jar, one mason jar with the pretty pastels paper without window and one with corrugated cardboard with window. As you can see at the pictures I cut the pieces with the holes for the planner and inked the edges.

At the back of the corrugated cardboard I put some double sided adhesive and add some acetate. I made snow with the slimeline adventure dies and soft finish cardstock. I only adhere this at the sides and bottom. Now I can still put things between the layers if I want.

I put the signpost with a cute stamp from the new release in front of the snow. At the lid I adhere a piece of ice from the Igloo dies set. I cut a small piece from the lid away so it’s only ice on top.

Than the cute bear. I made a polar bear with soft finish cardstock and distress ink.

The bear is holding a fishing rod. That is a dies from the camping accessoires. I put a small black twine at the and so it will looks like he is fishing.

I put some shaker material and the twine between the 2 layers from the mason jar. I think the polar bear has a special fish, don’t you think?

I hope you like this post and got some new ideas.

Thankyou for visiting and see you next time!

Kind regards Lisanne Geerdink

Double Pizza box

October 31, 2023

Hi, Marjolijn here. Today It’s my time to show you something I made. It’s a double pizza box, it can hold just a little more! And of course I made it in Halloween style!!!

I made the closure with a strip that I stamped on. Then tie a string around it and the spider keeps everything together.

The new Florals collection is so beautiful, I am in love with the pine cones! The berries were given a layer of glossy accents. With a little sisal in between it makes it just a little more alive. The lantern is not from E.C.D. but from my own collection. The text is made with the alphabet from the Art journal collection.

With a spider web in the top corner, no E.C.D either, and the mushrooms from Annette Green’s collection, it is really finished.

The box contains wonderful mood makers with a nice scent. And how did I turn it into a double box?

Well, that’s actually quite simple…

Die cut 2 boxes. I used a 12″ x 12″ sheet of cardstock.

For one box, cut the edge on the long side at the score line. Place double-sided tape on the long side of the other box. Unfortunately I don’t have the right size E.C.D. tape.

Punch a circle from one box for the view, this is of course an option because it is not necessary, without a window is also possible.

Remove the protective tape and apply some glue so that you can still slide a little.

Stick the box together, I cut off the flaps otherwise the box will be very thick in those places and you won’t need them.

Then you ink the box on the score lines both on the inside and on the outside. If you don’t like that, you can also omit this step.

Stick a piece of acetate on the inside.

And then you can decorate the box inside and out with design paper. I used the thin paper from Esther’s book for this, the thick paper is too thick, it won’t look nice.

By also giving the edges a layer of design paper you can hide the places where everything is put together.

The inside is fully decorated.

And the outside, you can decorate the box as you like. You can use it for all kinds of purposes, just like the small pizza box. Even to store larger die-cut parts if you like.

I hope you enjoyed today’s double pizza box project and will give it a try. Thanks for your visit 🙂

Love,

Marjolijn

So Much Love

October 30, 2023

Karen here. There’s so much love in the air in my world. One of my kids is getting married in a couple weeks, and my husband’s son is also getting married. I created a card for each of the weddings, and I had a bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law as well. I used a combination of fun products from here at Elizabeth Craft Designs!

I made two of these cards, one for each wedding. The background paper is from the Rustic Winter Collection – so pretty! I created a Layered Bird from the Everyday Elements collection from Annette. So cute. He is layered on diecuts from the Postage Stamps set and the word “love” is from Everyday Words. The shape of the card was created by adding a punched corner rounder.

So sweet, I love the Butterflies collection from Joset. The butterfly is so easy to assemble when the paper is cut with 101mm Double Sided Adhesive on the back! The sentiment on this card is stamped from the Bugs & Kisses set. The cardstock is from a paperpack I had in my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Craftily yours, Karen

A Bee’s Christmas Magic!

October 27, 2023

Hi everyone, Katie here with todays blog post. I wanted to share the Christmas Card that I created for a fun make-n-take at the 2023 Banff Creative Retreat. It’s the start of my Holiday Christmas Cards that I will be showing weekly on my Facebook page. So grab a hot beverage and I hope this brings you some inspiration.

Step 1: Start with cutting out your Bee with black and yellow cardstock, the honey pot is cut from yellow and red, the wings are cut from heavy vellum cardstock. I inked the bee body parts with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and assemble.

Step 2: Cut a Christmas Santa hat from Winter Accessories, ink and assemble. The Candy Cane is from the 2023 December Day by Day.

Step 3 : After your Christmas Bee has been assembled, I added some cheeks and used a white gel pen for the dot.

Step 4: Cut out a card base from white card stock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 4 1/4 and fold in half, cut a piece of black card stock for a mat 5 1/4 x 4.”. Then add your designer paper of choice.

Step 5: I stamped a sentiment from Holiday Treats CS287 onto a 3×3 white square.

Step 6: Next, assemble your card. Pop-dot your Bee!

Step 7: Last step, I speckled my card with heavy white paint.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post today and you have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween

October 26, 2023

Hello everyone! My (Sylvia’s) turn on the blog again. At the moment I am enjoying a vacation in Mexico, where we hope to celebrate el Día de los Muertos with big parades and people all dressed up. It’s like a kind of Halloween, although it is not nearly the same celebration. If you are not able to be with your kids/grandkids during Halloween, let’s make them a card to wish them a Happy Halloween. Let’s get started!

step 1: Cut a piece of white cardstock of 15 x 21 cm (A5)/(6 x 8 inch) and fold it in half to create a landscaped card. Using a splatterbox, spray the front panel of your card with distress oxide in twisted citron and splatter with some black ink as well.

step 2: die cut the caterpillar in purple and lilac cardstock, die cut the hat, cauldron, poison, spoon, bat and skull from set 1707 Halloween accessories. Die cut the spoon twice (1x in black, 1 x green to match the poison). Assemble the caterpillar, cut a slit into the hat and slide the head of the caterpillar in. Glue the antennas on the hat. I slightly offset the face to give it a little bit more interest and I drew brows and lashes on the face as well. Hand cut an oval from the inside of the green spoon as if it is a scoop from the poison and glue the oval to the black spoon.

step 3: arrange all elements on your card, try if the caterpillar fits before glueing it down, so that you can adjust the body if necessary. Diecut the smallest banner from set 1329 in design paper, and the second smallest in bright orange card. Stamp the Happy Halloween sentiment from set CS 329 on the design paper banner and glue them on top of each other, on the top left side of the card. Finish the card off with some diecut bats and/or spiders.

Happy Halloween and happy crafting!
Love
Sylvia

Christmas Tag Card

October 23, 2023

Hello crafty friends, it’s Summer Hills-Painter here. For today’s blog post, I am getting started on my Christmas cards so that I am not making tons of them at the last minute.

Preparation:

Cut and assemble the Sweater Season die set. Using the largest tag from the Nested Tags die set, cut a piece of green patterned cardstock. For mine, I used the new Holly Jolly Christmas paper pack. Cut the second largest rectangle from the Indented Stitched Rectangles die from red cardstock. Fold an 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock in half. Cut a the second largest rectangle from patterned cardstock using the indented Rectangle die set. Cut the words “HOHOHO” from Sidekick Essentials 24 die set out of red cardstock. Also cut the tag reinforcer from the same red cardstock

Instructions

Using the largest tag from the Nested Tags die set. Line the tag up with the edge of the cardstock fold and tape into place. Cut the tag using your die cutting machine. This will serve as your card based.

Adhere the green patterned tag to the tag card base. I inked the edges with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink so that no white edges were being shown.

Adhere the red indented rectangle to the card base and top with the brown patterned cardstock.

Adhere the sweater, HOHOHO, and reinforcer to the tag card and the project is complete.

Bright Sunflower Wishes

October 19, 2023

Rajni Chawla Here!! Back again on Elizabeth Crafts Design blog to inspire you with beautiful bright and sunny Sunflowers from the latest Seasonal Classic Collection. This collection is outstanding and the florals and foliage have taken my heart away. I have been always a big fan of Sunflowers and these are completely exceptional. I have been playing with Floral 26 a lot these days. You can look for more inspiration on my Instagram page here.

For the backdrop, I have created a grungy textured background and prepared a white and gold window to display the handmade flowers. The window is created using the beautiful die from the Book Box die set and Stitched Indented Rectangle die set. The sentiment tag is prepared using the Everyday Elements die set and Layered Labels 1

I have mixed and matched the foliage from various die sets. Like Floral 25, Floral Greenery 1, and Pine Cones

To add more beauty to the bright sunflowers and to make them pop from the grungy background, I added a few daisies which I created using Floral 9
