Let´s Ketchup Masculine Card Idea

September 9, 2018

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna Lippert here and it´s time for my September guest blog post tutorial. I created a fun and easy-to-do masculine card using the Backyard Barbeque die cut set and plenty of Soft Finish Cardstock for this month’s card. Here is how I created the card:

Step 1: Using the Backyard Barbeque die set and True Blue, Sunflower, Ladybug Red and Café au Lait Soft Finish Cardstock, cut the grill, flame, tire and ketchup bottle. The photo above shows the pieces.

Step 2: Create a White Soft Finish Cardstock card base. Adhere Wood Effect paper to the front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape.

Step 3: Arrange and adhere the grill pieces onto the Wood Effect panel. Fussy cut the white label piece and adhere onto the ketchup bottle. Set bottle aside for now.

Step 4: Ink around the Wood Effect paper edges with black ink to create added contrast.

Step 5: Using the MISTI Stamping Tool, stamp the “Let´s Ketchup” sentiment onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Hand-cut into a banner following the curve above the word “Let’s” as shown in the photo below.

Step 6: Adhere the sentiment and the ketchup bottle to the panel. Accent with black Liquid Pearl dots. Let dry.

Step 7: Adhere the finished panel onto the white card base.

Here are some close-up photos of the finished card.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial. See you again next month.

Happy crafting,
Sanna

Such an adorable card, and the background just caps it off perfectly.

I never understand the gender-specific thing though. I know women who do the grilling while their husbands do the eating!
