Christmas Chocolate

August 23, 2018

Hi Friends!  It’s EK and I am sneaking in with a tasty treat today.  One of my favorite things about the holiday season is it seems the food and drink just get better.  It seems only fitting that Joset’s new release has so many sweet treats to help celebrate the season!  Today, I am using the new Hot Chocolate die to create a fun Christmas Card.

Step One:  Trim a piece of Silver Gray Soft Finish Cardstock to 6×12 inches and score to make a 6×6 card base.

Step Two:  Trim two coordinating pieces of White Christmas Cardstock to 6×6 inches.  Die cut one of the piece with the Garden Notes Frame It Stitched Circle dies to create a frame.

Step Three: Die cut the Hot Chocolate die set from 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 4:  Color the mug and candy cane base with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

Step 5:  Lightly color the snowflake and steam with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.

Step 6:  Color the chocolate run over with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

Step 7:  Add shadows to the whip cream and marshmallows using alcohol markers.  I used N0 and N2 copic markers.

Step 8:  Assemble the mug using Kids Choice Glue to adhere the die cuts together.

Step 9:  Adhere the holiday papers to the card frame using 6mm Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 10:  Adhere the die cuts to the card using Kids Choice Glue.

Thanks for peeking in today to see my holiday treat card.  Hope you are as excited about all the lovely holiday treats coming up and are just as excited as I am about these great new sweet treats dies!
