Happy Spring

May 4, 2018

Hello Crafters!
I think spring has finally arrived in my part of the world. By the time March arrives and no matter how severe or mild the winter has been, most of us want to see the end of it.  Spring is such a pretty time of year with all the fresh and new greenery, birds happily singing and trees budding.

Today’s card is fitting for this time of year and uses the Adventure Edges die, the Laundry Party and Spring Sentiments stamps.

Instructions on how to create this card are as follows:

Step 1: Cut, fold and score a 5.75” x 5.75” pink cardstock base. Cut a 5.5” x 5.5” card front from white cardstock.

Step 2: Using the scalloped die from the Adventure Edges die set, angle and tape the die to the patterned paper and run through the die cutting machine. Repeat with a piece of pink cardstock, ensuring it is 1/8” longer than the patterned paper piece.

Step 3: Glue the scalloped pink cardstock and patterned paper together, leaving a 1/8” pink edge below the patterned  paper.

Step 4:  Add a piece of ribbon and tie into a bow. Wrap the cut ends to the back as shown in the photo below.

Step 5: Stamp the image and sentiment onto the white cardstock card front panel.

Step 6:  Colour, and then add some sparkles.  Copic markers: Y19, Y15, Y13; R99, R95, R93, R91; B95, B93, B91; V06, V04, V000.

Step 7: After trimming, glue scalloped piece to card front, finish the inside of the card as desired, and your Happy Spring card is done!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!
