Easter is on its way! Since having children – Easter is probably one of my favourite family ‘moments’ of the year. The chocolate, hot cross buns, family get together’s and the best bit the Easter egg hunts! So for today’s card I wanted to create something fun and bright and inspired by eggs.
Card Instructions:
Step 1: On white card – die cut a large rectangle from the Dashing Rectangles die set (card front).
Step 2: On white card (measurements: 4.5 inches x 2.5 inches) mask a circle (using masking paper or a post it note) in the middle.
Step 3: Alternating in ink colours stamp out the egg from the Color My Easter Egg Clear Stamp set using the reverse side of the stamp. (this will give you a solid egg shape on your card)
Step 3: Now stamp (in black ink) the egg stamp (correct side up) on top of each colour.
Step 4: Remove the masking paper and stamp the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments Clear Stamp set.
Step 5: Add sewing detail as shown (optional). Distress top and bottom edges and adhere to card front.
Step 6: Embellish with a bow and sequins. Adhere card front to a card base.
Sweet and simple way to use small stamps without having to colour them in…though this technique would work perfectly with any detailed stamp image. Give it a try!
Happy Crafting!
