A Way With Words ModaScrap Soft Finish Cardstock

Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers

March 3, 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!

Isn’t March a wonderful time of year?  The worst of winter months are behind us and thoughts are turning to spring.  My crocus will soon pop their heads through the winter garden beds and cheery flowers of purple or white with yellow pollen will color the gardens.  The images of those happy flowers inspired the flower card I am sharing today.  The focal point of the card front is the lovely calligraphic stamp designed by Suzanne Cannon.

Card Instructions:

Step 1 – Die cut Lavender Soft Finish Cardstock using Flowers Lace Frame Die and cut to desired size.  Carefully keep the petals from two of the flowers and set aside.

Step 2 – Create a top-fold card from white card stock.  Place die flat side up onto front of card.  Apply yellow ink through flower die openings. The die acts as a stencil.

Step 3 – Adhere frame die cut to card front using liquid adhesive.

Step 4 – Use black ink to stamp quote onto white cardstock.  Die cut using small frame from Flowers Lace Frame die set.  Apply yellow ink along edges.

Step 5 – Use liquid adhesive to mount flowers from step 1 next to the stamped quote as shown.  Use a yellow marker to create flower centers.  Mount to card front using double-sided foam tape.

Step 6 – Create lavender bow and mount to card front using liquid adhesive.

Suzanne’s calligraphy is just beautiful and I love the quote!
